Hi guys, am new here and have been struggling hard with anxiety/depression for last couple of months. Staying with my family as I was housesitting but since we had a storm/fence blew down at home & this new virus, I cant leave my Mum's to go back to my partner. Not having much work, having to get onto Centrelink and being stuck in isolation sucks (no, i dont have the virus, am just avoiding going out unless I absolutely have to).
I was wondering what tips/advice anyone can give me to keep me occupied. I'm a gamer but laptop is old so can't play much on there anymore till I get my new comp sorted, if there's anything else people can offer me, I'd appreciate it. Am willing to try new stuff 🙂

Hi Shay94,
I'm sorry to hear that you have been struggling with depression & anxiety over the last couple months, and current situation not helping. Please know that you are not alone though & I hope that this helps in some way. As much as it feels like that at the moment, please know there are lots of people out there feeling lonely too, I can relate very strongly to this as I have been feeling the same so I understand your desire to find things to keep you occupied.
Some of the things I have been doing are having a list of menial tasks like cleaning sonething, cleaning out cupboards etc, washing/cleaning car (really well!). And then there have been other things like jigsaw puzzles, art/craft & exercise - this has been especially beneficial as I have found it has given me a sense of accomplishment. You can find lots of videos on You Tube for different things & you don't need equipment, you can use things around your home or you could go for a walk.
Another thing is I have picked something random I have always wanted to learn, in my case magic tricks, & I have been watching videos on You Tube & teaching myself a couple tricks. Bit of a novelty but the focus of "getting it right" has occupied my mind considerably & when I get it right I feel proud of myself (even if I have no one to show the trick too).
Hope this helps you somewhat to give you a few ideas to keep you occupied. Would like to know what you end up doing if you feel like posting back. Sending smiles 🙂
