I put my daughter in hospital again yesterday for her eating disorder as I have just had an operation and can't cope with her negative behaviour. I feel that I am having a nervous breakdown I haven't been able to get out of bed for weeks and was in and out of hospital

Sounds really tough, may you enlighten us Beno50 on the kind of eating disorders. I grew up with people who still do and still are part of the "thinspiration" crowd. I grew up around the glamorisation of bulimia and anorexia. It really is tough. I know surgery is tolling and probably you don't want to deal with her issues. However, she is going though a troubling time in her life. Support is important!

Hi Beno (and a wave to mmmiguess),
You sound very (understandably) worn out and overwhelmed...I feel for you...
I think supporting anyone with an eating disorder, even if it’s your own daughter, can be emotionally exhausting at best. But it’s that much more of a struggle when you’re going through a lot yourself like having just had an operation.
You’re always welcome to vent, purge feelings, etc here if you want to talk. Any time at all...some people find writing cathartic...
Kind and comforting thoughts,
Pepper
