dear Tearna, well that's a very sensible question and really should be answered by our manager Chris, and if by any chance he misses this post I will contact him.

From what I know is that funds are raised by donating to someone when they are running in a marathon, plus there are other events in which someone is sponsored raising funds for BB, however this isn't telling you much.

I do know that they create awareness talking to school groups all about depression, and I really wish that when I was at school there was a body like Beyond Blue who I would have really liked to talk to.

It's become a noticed site in doctors rooms with placards and brochures, and all the ads on TV which have made a huge difference.

The other groups Chris could tell you.

They recently had a bus trip all around Australia which lasted for a few months again raising the awareness of depression visiting all states and certain towns.

Behind the computer screen there is an enormous amount of trained people who respond to emails sent in by people needing help , plus answering queries on the web chat, so this is helping the community, as well as the Moderators who check each post before it hits the forum.

I will leave the rest to Chris, and may I say that his position on the site has been such a great benefit to all of us, and I also have to compliment the Moderators on the job their also do.

Ten years ago or probably longer when I first started responding to people, it certainly didn't have what it is like today, so the site has improved more than I can ever say, but it's not a site that stands still, improvements are done on a daily basis, it has to keep changing and it will do the very best it can to help anyone with depression and this means any other type of depression as well. Geoff.

Hi Tearna, have you had a look around the website? There's a lot of information on here about what we do.

A good place to start is our most recent annual report.
