Hello Statesman
Welcome and thank-you for having the courage to post too!
The forums are a safe and non judgemental place for you to post Statesman. You mentioned that you are looking after someone thats close to you with serious health issues. I understand what you are going through as I am doing the same.
Is there anything we can help you with? Posting on a forum can feel somewhat hollow...when we start to post
Just some background...I am ex corporate and posted here in Jan 2016 after needing help with a bad episode of depression. There are many gentle people on the forums that can be here for you too!
I do know that you are not alone here Statesman
we are really good listeners
my kind thoughts
Paul

Hi Statesman and welcome to the forums 🙂
It is really good you are helping your friend. It is important to also look after yourself. Have you discussed with your doctor possible respite options. This gives you a bit of a break and someone can look after your friend. My grandma has MS. She went into respite sometimes or on a thing called camp break away (i think that's what it was called). They both found it helpful as he could get a bit of a break (note, sometimes he physically needed a break and sometimes he would need it for medical reasons, like a colonoscopy etc). Maybe it is something to look into.
