I have been diagnosed with BPD and am now looking for support and others that are struggling with this disorder? The name itself has me reeling and at the moment as I digest this and read about it I feel even more crazy than every but the worst part is I just want to crawl in a hole and hide from the world feeling like I have a second head or something disfiguring or a big blurb of "LUNIE" for everyone to see. I have been living this hell for as long as I can remember and even now knowing there is really something and not just my imagination is stretching me to my limits. I have read on here about people who have to live with someone with this disorder how difficult it is and how so many of u feel useless and just sometimes want to throw the towel iin and that also has upset me as I now know what people who deal with me have to cope with. Anyone out there who is dealing with this or any groups I can go to would be greatly be happy to hear from. It really is living hell but to be able to connect to someone else who may understand may just make me feel not quiet so alone on this roller coaster ride to hell. catwomen

Hey BPD.
I live in Victoria. I spent 2.5 weeks in a private mental health clinic and was recommended onto the DBT program by the psychiatrist who took me on.
Good luck I hope your GP can refer you onto someone that can help!

Hi Catwoman. I also suffer from BPD. I like the label, it actually made me feel less odd because there are so many other odd people just like me! I take medication, I find it helps me be more stable, it has changed my life. I have never thought about going to a BPD group. I don't like taking about my illness face to face with people... but I will how this forum thing goes (first post!). Anyway, you are not alone. In fact, you are in pretty good company.

Thank you Roosterchips. I have been in treatment for major depressive/anxiety disorder and ADD since 1995. I was diagnosed with BPD three months ago. I had a vague understanding of the condition prior to diagnosis however I am now in the process of aquiring as much info as I can. I have been seeing a very good psychiatrist weekly since 2001 but I had no idea there were BPD support groups. I have only just found out about DBT. I wanted to thank you for mentioning the Marsha Linehan videos on YouTube. Again, I had no idea of the availability of this information. My diagnosis was a little overwhelming and I'm very grateful for any direction to helpful resources. Many thanks.
