Hi everyone In honor of the, ARE YOU OK DAY THANKYOU campaign
I will just like to thank Chris Banks, Sophie the moderator and the rest of the team and moderators at beyond blue you all do an amazing job on this forum helping people who are in need for mental health issues. I think since beyond blue has started campaigning against the stigma of mental health issues people ( including myself ) have started realizing that they are not alone in this fight therefore they are reaching out and getting the help they need so they can better understand and control their illness.
I also like to make a special mention to our community champions on this forum and the countless hours you put in in replying to some of the posts on this forum your help is really appreciated so thank you
THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO I was not sure if I was allowed to mention the community champions by name but please know you are appreciated anyway…
Take care
Sparkles ……

Thanks Sparkles,
Dismantling the stigma that still exists around mental health is going to be a long and arduous task but I completely agree that BeyondBlue does some great work in that respect. I think it's fantastic that they provide a place for people to ask real questions and get real responses from people who have been there and done that. Thanks for your message

dear Sparkles, your appreciation for Chris, Sophie and the Champions is something that will stay with us for ever, even when our time has come.
Behind the computer screen there is so much that is done to improve the quality and efficiency of this site, where the improvement has gained so much momentum since it first started.
I must say that we don't get many comments like what you have said, but that's understandable, because we are talking to people who are suffering from any type of depression, and that's the furtherest from their mind.
It is indeed hard work as we all go through periods where we don't feel well ourselves or have other commitments, however some of us endeavour to continue replying, but they should be taking care of themselves first, as each and everyone of us all need to have good mental health, so that we can fully concentrate on the issue at stake.
It's an honour and certainly a privilege to be part of being with these Champions, as well as with Chris and Sophie, who not only reply to posts when needed, but also provide vital information to us.
I really want to thank you for your kind comment, it's very much appreciated. Geoff.
