Hey, just wondering if anyone is avail to chat? I’m struggling a bit tonight, it feels like I’m shaking on the inside - chest/anxiety tremors?? Anyone experience these?

Im sorry your struggling with anxiety...the physical symptoms are really horrid and scarey...

Can you just hold my hands..then we can breathe together...just close your eyes ....breath deeply and relax...deep breathing helps to ground us as well as making us feel calmer....

Okay...breathe nice and slowly in...for 1-2-3-4-5-...hold...out for R-E-L-A-X..and again.....nice and slowly...

Theres a thread on here title...”Grounding What is and how do we”..if you feel to search it in the search bar top right this page..it helps us to ground ourselves....

If you haven’t spoken to your dr about your anxiety..I’m wondering if it’s something that you would consider?..Thats something I done and now being treated for my anxiety it’s easier to manage....

I find distracting myself away from my thoughts about what’s happening to me works...sometimes I’ll play some music and sing along with it...or do something I like to do....at night when I go to bed.i listen to sleep stories to keep my mind busy.....

Do you have any hobbies you like doing?..

Hi Sotired86, i have indeed also felt the 'tremors inside' sensation of anxiety before, its like a nervous butterfly that's grown to the size of a small bird for me.

I sometimes find it hard to distinguish between nervousness and anxiety. I wonder if something coming up for you has spurred this on? has this been going on for a while?

For me getting up and going for a walk to clear my head (no matter the time of day or night) and show myself i can escape the situation im in helps during these times.

If that's not possible, listening to a podcast or an audio book can help take my mind off things.

replies on here can take some time to come through, but its important to mention there is always someone on to chat to. If you need more immediate feedback perhaps ringing a friend or family member? might be worth opening up to some safe people within your network to mention these feeling and ask if it is ok to call them if need be?
