Misdiagnosis and medication

Hi,

I am wondering what effect depression medications (esp. SSRI's) might have on someone who had been misdiagnosed and did not actually have depression. I have searched online and checked out the side effects list but can not find anything that specifically addresses this question. With thanks, Chris.
