Has anyone had to get a medical certificate for assessment deferral at uni? I'm scared the doctor will assume I'm lying.

Hi Georgie

Welcome to Beyond Blue.

I GOT one to get extra time in my exams at TAFE. My GP was more than happy to write one out. Although I did not need it as I finished before time anyhow .

I do suggest you go  to talk to your GP, they know about the stress of Study.

Good Luck

and let me know how you go

Hi Georgie,

I get them all the time. If you are having trouble with mental (or any other) health, then your uni should have some kind of student support services to guide you. I've been dealing with stuff since I started uni 5 years ago and I've never been declined help.

be good to hear how you go
