Hi Glenda/paul,
Firstly, welcome to the forums. I am sorry to read what your husband is going through, you sound like an amazing wife.
Is there an option to go to a different hospital at all? This is where second opinions are very much needed. I understand the frustration, I just don't have the best advice to give in this particular situation so I do hope someone else may comment and be able to offer better advice but just wanted to see if another hospital may be an option.
Keep strong for your husband as best as you can and keep asking for the help.
My best for you and your husband,
Jay

Hi Glenda/paul
Welcome to the forums and thanks for your post.
I'm sorry that your husband is having such a hard time. I can see both your and the hospitals point of view with the MRI and it's frustrating. From a diagnostic point of view, if the EEG doesn't show epileptic seizures and pseudoseizures seem to fit (based on how they present) then an MRI is generally not justified because of unnecessary radiation. What made them come to that diagnosis?
Have you talked to them about your concerns? Was the misdiagnosis also to do with seizures?
Please don't think this is in the too hard basket. Just because someone is being referred to the MH team doesn't mean it's 'crazy' or 'made up'. These seizures are very real. People can live a really good quality of life with pseudoseizures and it's important to know that since they are not true epileptic ones (based on the EEG), it means that it's not affecting the brain like an epileptic seizure would.
