Pushed Away

My loved one has pushed me away.   He doesn't want me to help him. I don't even no what to say anymore. I feel like giving up and not even bother because am feeling depressed. He doesn't want me coming over he says he hasn't showered or eaten. I am worried about him. I don't know if I should just so up on the doorstep and just say hey I am worried about you. I am at a loss of what to do. He's lost his life long family home with his parents.  What should do any advice would be great...

Hi lizbeth,

Its hard when a loved one pushes us away and denies the need for help. Never give up. What are you doing for your health? You need to stay strong. Sometimes just showing up could be the answer,  Maybe take him a home cooked meal, or takeaway! you could either eat with him or leave it for him to eat when he wants. Sometimes just sitting can start a conversation . You know the human connection.

If he has lost his family home where is he living? That could be a major loss and adjustment for him.
