Hello Soulofthoughts,
A very warm welcome to the forums..
You have such a beautiful heart thinking of you little boy...
I have two little fur girls that I love so much..I couldn’t imagine life without them....They are a huge reason that I am still around....
I am honoured to be there mum and take care of them..getting up each day to feed and play with them is what keeps me going...
It would be wonderful if you can keep your fur boy with you..for helping you to distract negatively from escalating to much...idk but our pets are more then pets..they are our family...
I am lucky I have two sons..and they both agreed to look after them if something happened to me....even my neighbour said she will care for them...it’s gives our mind some peace knowing that they will be looked after..
Do you have any family or close friends that you feel you could trust to love and care for you little boy, if needed...or maybe a neighbour that loves him?..
I hope others come here and someone else may have more ideas to help you..
My Kindest and most caring thoughts..
Grandy..

Hi Soulofthoughtz
Firstly, it is so sweet to see the love of your pet- you clearly have a special bond and care about their needs. I would say talk to your local vet or even the local council- they might have some great resources including dog walking/grooming services and pet minding services. Some programs are run by animal-loving volunteers so are fairly accessible I hope. This will hopefully take a load off of you and give you peace of mind when you feel you can't mind them for a short while or need a little help meeting their needs!
What breed is your little friend? He sounds lovely!

The RSPCA has a program (at least they do in NSW) called the
Home Ever After Program,
(it might be called Pet Legacies in other states).
It costs nothing to enrol your fur-mate.
It might be worth checking out.

Good Morning Soulofthoughtz
I have read your post and reread it and it has been sitting with me until I felt I knew how to word my reply to you.
I wanted to say welcome and I wanted to say what a beautiful kind heart that you have to ensure the welfare, the safety and that your little mate has love.....what it left me with was also thinking "can you take some of these things for yourself?"
I am wondering if you would like to share some of what is going on for you. Only if you want to and only if you feel comfortable to. I know you know this but I also wanted to remind you that ultimately your little mate (who looks absolutely adorable by the way) would much rather be with you, and from what I can read, you need him so very much too. He is your family and can also be your "one reason to stay".
Sometimes all a person needs is one reason, one thing to provide hope and provide love and that I can hear you get so very much from your little mate. We can also be another support system for you too, to listen and to share and to be with you, even if it is via a computer screen.
You matter and your life matters and you are loved.
I am wondering if you have had a chat to a GP or had some professional support?
Huge hugs to you Soulofthoughtz and I really hope to chat to you some more.
Sarah xx

Hi Sarah thanks for the warm welcome. I have been debating whether to share but came to the conclusion if it doesn't help me maybe it will help somebody else. You will have to bear with me as I can be stubborn at times. I have been dwelling on these thoughts for the last two years and some are dark and tainted.
I do believe sometimes a person only needs the one thing to bring them hope and purpose to life. My mind was already twisted and my body broken before my boy entered my life through unfortunate circumstances.
Yes I have seen my g.p and a few councillors briefly.

The day came where I had enough strength to make it to the local phyciatric hospital (suicidal, first time on heavy pain killers, hallucinations).
I have since recovered a little and have had back surgery it fixed some problems but created others so unfortunately the surgery was unsuccessful. My back specialist has/will request a second surgery (fingers crossed).
Since my injury I have detiorated on all levels mind, body and soul. I have always been a support for others around me and now I can't even look after myself.
Work has always given me purpose, a way to put food on the table and contribute to society.
Any hobbies I had or the things that I use to love to do changed on that awful day.
