Ate the first mandarins to ripen on my mandarin tree - fresh and juicy.
Went for a walk in the rain and enjoyed the sound of frogs enjoying the rain.
Rang a relative who has recently been through a bereavement to see how she is going.

Lit the fire to keep myself cosy.
Had a bit of a health relapse so let myself rest on the couch under a blanket.
Set up appointments next week with a counsellor and the doctor to address mental and physical health issues.

Went to a plant nursery even though I’ve been feeling breathless and unwell with health issues. Something about being among all the plants was healing and alleviated some of the pressure in my chest and airway.
Went to the ocean on the way home where I met a friendly tourist visiting the area.
Now resting on the couch drinking a nice green tea.

- Did my makeup even though I'm not going out anywhere - for me it's a form of creative expression, I love it

My Aunty told me she did the exact same thing the other day - put her makeup on even though she wasn’t going out. I think always do what makes you happy, and expressing yourself creatively is a wonderful thing!
My 3 self-care things today:
1. Walking by the river in the sunshine.
2. Enjoying watching birds in my garden.
3. Chatting to a woman working in a local cafe. After moving to a new town I am very slowly coming out of my shell as I was quite traumatised and exhausted when I first got here. But very gradually making contacts with people.
