Hi All,
In the past there may have been threads on sleep and how to improve our quality of sleep.
I am starting this thread up and hope to include past thread titles.
For some of us sleep is a real issue, the more we can learn about it the better informed we will be.
Funny stories on weird places you have fallen asleep are welcome as well.
For me, I had just moved house and was very busy getting everything organised. Friends invited me to the drag races. I was so tired and exhausted that I sat down, leant against the fence right near the starting line and fell asleep for most of the evening.
Hope to read some of your stories and tips.
Cheerio for now, from Mrs. Dools

Hi Everyone,
Paul, you are more than welcome to mention anything here that you think might assist people with their sleep, mental health issues and life in general.
Not sleeping can be caused by so many different issues it seems. A chat with a Dr is a good place to start looking for answers and considering our own patterns and life may help increase the chances of better sleep.
I need to look into this further with my Dr as my lack of sleep is getting ridiculous. I am considering the rubber mallet approach! Ha. Ha.
RockToReef, I have not heard of ASMR so may investigate that.
Cheers to you all, from Dools

Hi Everyone,
On Sunday night again I did not sleep a wink and these past few weeks have been very frustrating because of it. I've been struggling to drive and concentrate at work, and yes my overall thinking was not good.
However last night was the best night sleep I have had in weeks! I slept like me old self with a few wake ups during the night but I was able to get back to sleep and actually got more than 4 hours of sleep I feel so happy that I finally slept. I know it's only one night but I am taking the win 😄
I hope everyone's day is a good one,
Keypi 🙂

That is definitely a win!!! Good job. Everything starts with one small step at a time and slowly over time when you look back you realise how far you have come.

Hi Keypi
Good to know you had a reasonably decent sleep. Sometimes when we have a major life event we may experience ongoing lack of sleep (which you know anyway) I really hope you have continued improvement with the quality of your sleep!
Hey RocktoReef.......Great to see you again...Nice1
Hey Dools......You are a legend at writing threads.....I really love this one!
Have the best possible Thursday everyone
Paul

Hi Everyone,
How are we all going?
Annie have you been getting much sleep?
Well since that one night I slept really well it's pretty much back to only a few hours a night so that sucks but otherwise not going too bad with it 🙂

Hi Quirkywords,
When I was on the Psych ward they gave me a weighted blanket to use & it helped heaps sleep wise. My sister tells me I also used it like a shawl at times & found it helpful. (I had ECT so big memory gaps) It is the same principle as swaddling a baby or using a thunder shirt on a dog. I now have one for home & find just having it over my legs when I'm on the couch is helpful when I'm having a bad day.

I had a good sleep last night, but tonight I'm feeling really restless and I can just tell it's not going to be a good night I'm just dreading it I'm not sure what to do to help me stay asleep I'm feeling a bit worried about it as I have been functioning very well at work and it's stressing me out a bit 😕
Well I hope everyone else sleeps well, talk to you soon,
Keypi 🙂

Hello Keypi,
I don't think we are allowed to recommend companies on this site, but if you google "weighted blanket australia" you will see a few places to get one.
