Well, isn't that what we do to a computer when it freezes up?
There is therapies and other medical procedures that reboots a brain in order for it to reset. But you as an individual has some limited hidden inner ability to reset your thinking processes. To do this you need to feed your brain the right diet of information.
Several times in my life when I've been confused (usually with people's comments or actions) I've flooded my life with basics. It could be seen as a form of brain washing, of good things, basic topics to spare us if life's complexities that lead us to our state of suicidal thoughts and/or self harm.
So in my case I utilise YouTube videos- one or two a day. Music can be a parts if this.
So try listening to -
YouTube maharaji sunset
YouTube maharaji the perfect instrument
YouTube maharaji appreciate
He has dozens more. An incredible man that teaches worldwide and has done so since 9yo.
Comment here as you please on how you progress in rebooting your brain.
Back to basics.

Hi mb
I'm sorry mb but we CC's are limited to what advice we can give to members with the members professional medical people. It has a lot to do with duty of care and incorrect advice can be harmful. My comments told you what worked for me only, it wasn't a recommendation.
Sorry.
Sleepy.
I let my imagination run rampant
THE BLACK WIDOW
The male black widow spider
tried all his life
he tried to tickle the hairy legs
of his much larger black widow wife
Then finally he had a win
something at last to gloat
she began to laugh aloud
as his leg slid down her throat
Poor male black widow
was always going to get into strife
all because he didnt understand
the nature of his hairy wife....

Hi TonyWK
Love your poetry expression. Especially as my name lol Golden. I will remember it. It is great regardless. I love the idea of the lil table with one chair and how you go to your cafe and sit on your own.
I have agoraphobia at the moment working with a wonderful community worker on graded exposure. I hope later on to do that .. sit in the cafe by myself. It sounds so good. I picture it in my mind but run away.
Thanks for sharing your ideas and poems.

such a great poem!!
i love the image of the much bigger wife, the two spiders and the dynamic
i love it all, truthfully, but i always like to share with someone the speicific word, line or image that strikes me in their work. it is so sweet and evocative - thank u (don't mean sweet to diminsh or like it's cute... more that it is beautiful and lovely to read)
Hi Golden - i just wanted to tell u i can relate to a lot of what ur saying
I only go to certain places where i feel comfortable.... but there is always a discomfort. It's hard.

hey golden.
my Psychiatrist told me about graded exposure and that's something i need to do. i get very anxious and claustrophobic, and just want to run and hide when i see people, even 1 or 2, or cars driving past. people probably think it's stupid in my case.

Hi mb, golden and Sleepy
Claustrophobia and/or fear of crowds etc is serious conditions. Way back in 1987 I was at the peak of My anxiety.
I avoided crowds, shops, supermarkets, anywhere that crowds amass, even if there is not a crowd there e.g. made made things like big buildings, the city, trains etc
I found the answer in a town of 3000 people. Large enough for a hospital, aged care, supermarket x2, doctors, train line etc but never crowded.
Plus my anxiety went away but took a long time. Google
Beyondblue topic anxiety, how I eliminated it
That was part of the plan. Have you made similar plans to reboot?
Regards TonyWK
