Hi Bob. I wanted to add my congratulations to you as well for this momentous occasion. I know how difficult it would have been. I really hope that your proven technique for behavioural change will help others as well. In all sorts of areas, and not just sobriety. So I thank you sincerely for this post. It appears consistent from all the posts to this thread that the prime motivation to do anything difficult like this, must be SELF.
We can all learn from you Bob. And again, well done!

Thats great that you are giving yourself a little reward. You have certainly earned it, and are totally deserving. Hopefully down the track you may well receive another much bigger reward - better access to your children!
Have you decided on a tattoo design yet?

May I add my heartiest congratulations. Whether you had help of any sort or not, the fact that you 'stuck' to your guns is truly worthy of your determination. You have what I call 'true grit'.
Lynda.

Hi Robert
A little late to the thread, I don't look in everyday, but wanted to say well done to you on your first year of sobriety. My experience is that sobriety grows on one, for me the second year was easier than the first and mental stability grew along with hope for the future. Life did not become perfect without booze, depression and anxiety recur and life's natural hiccups still come along, but I find myself in a position to meet those challenges and address my illness.
That looks a bit preachy written down but it is my message of hope to you as you start the next stage of your journey in sobriety.
Good luck- Bayleaf.
