This might be a bit of an uphill debate if you don't believe me.
I was a heavy smoker due to pain and depression. I finally managed to give up, it's been 3 years since I quit cigarettes.
There's somesort of problem. I was in a car accident. Where my mum got a replacement car through the insurance, and now someone broke into the car to get copies of our house keys to break into our house.
I've tried explaining to my mum that I think someone is breaking in and putting drugs in my 2 litre milk.
And now I'm moderately affected by someone drugging me.
Its an uphill battle but I have beaten the cigarettes.
I just feel so much more reliable, responsible, and stable knowing that I won't go for the ciggie.

Hello and welcome to the forums,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it sounds like things have been very overwhelming for you… however, we can see that you have had one massive win that is worthwhile noting! Changing any pattern of behaviour takes so much work and courage, so absolutely good on you for shifting your cigarette habit - this is huge!
Knowing you are so much more reliable, responsible, and stable must feel wonderful. What else is helping you to feel this way at the moment? 😊
Regarding the car accident and people breaking into your house, as well as potential drugging - this must be so, so scary. Do you have any support for what you are going through? It sounds like a really important time to have a support group and a psychologist/psychiatrist. What do you feel is your next best step here?
Please know if you'd to talk more thoroughly about this, you can always connect with our support service directly and talk with one of our counsellors about what you're going through: Talk to a counsellor - Beyond Blue - Beyond Blue
Looking forward to your reply. 💙
Warm regards,
Sophie M.
