An over active mind

More likely older people over 45 will feel it.

If you've had mania or ADHD you likely near ran while doing tasks when younger or even now. This fast pace also made you accident prone.

My dad used to say "why rush" but I knew no other way

Employers never hesitated giving me a reference upon leaving their employ. But there were unclear problems.

Other employees disliked a hard worker that produced twice the output they did...it showed them up as lazy. The other downfall was ones body wore out sooner. And finally, clever as some can be, wisdom can elude the manic worker. He/she hasn't got the time to think about things..."bull at a gate" is the right term.

In my 20's and 30's this was me. And l'd jam pack so many life experiences into every day by the time I was 40yo I'd lived a lifetime.

Now im 60yo. I dont desire to do the many activities 60yo retirees want to do. If there is no creativity in my projects then i have no interest. This is the "been there done that" mentality.

In my opinion it isn't serious. We types just need to search harder to find those hobbies sports and activities that stimulate us. But it can be an ongoing difficult daily challenge for one's partner. They can't keep up, they can't predict/guess what you'll find enjoyable and have trouble what pace you'll be on a given day.

We need to communicate more effectively and we can't do that unless we slow the pace our mind is running at.

This is why medical treatment is so important for we with mania. With ADHD some with it can carry out daily exercise like running or gardening to reduce their over active minds. But in many cases we need professional help to quell our fast pace.

Some of us never relax, never feel we've had a holiday etc, our minds are V8 supercars while others are family hatchbacks. Something has to slow us down or we will be unbearable to live with, we'll have worn bodies we'll suffer with more than normal in old age and we'll look back as having done three times more than others in our lifetime.

But we might not have achieved anymore as we didn't take the time to use wisdom.

If you have an over active mind, cannot sleep, walk and talk fast, accident prone, can't sit still, spend too much money etc then you could do you and your spouse a favour and see your GP.

Hey Tony WK

I Love this "An engine running flat out is more prone to breakdown..." Well said Tony!

Better late than never 🙂

I know its hard Shivers, but i'd be interested in helping you figure out a solution to your problem. Sometimes we all have a tendency to let our brains thoughts do all the work and forget about balancing our thoughts out with our emotional side of the brain or when we are emotional, we forget about balancing it out with our thinking. Life throws us these roadblocks and struggles because they are the challenges and lessons we are arrive here to overcome and learn from. Thinking negative is common and we should never hate ourselves or think anyone is better or worse then us. we are all equal. Negative thoughts usually tend to manifest negative outcomes which a lot of us don't realise that if we start talking positively, then positive outcomes eventually manifest.. I really feel for your low levels of comfort and we have it in us to get through these tough times by learning from them which only make us stronger and the less things or circumstances we regret.. Next time you look in your mirror, don't see yourself as someone sad or lost, instead, look into your eyes meaningfully and say to yourself "Shivers... i love you". it may feel a bit awkward at first, it was for me but do it a few times a day and start seeing that as soon as we start loving and appreciating ourselves as one then we attract the same energy in others and will start feeling better about a lot more. We then start to see that becoming happy within ourselves and understanding that life isn't a walk in the park and every speed bump we get over the universe rewards us with some good Karma. I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a father growing up. Ive experienced a lot of family deaths in my early life and as hurtful and as negative as these are, we must try and turn negatives into positives and take whatever we can, even if its only a little positive, its better then the negative. Holding on to past fears and regrets only make our lives more of a struggle. If we try really hard to slow down our thoughts (e.g.. listen to the kettle boil, feel our skin and actually sense the texture, or listen to our pets breathe and snore, it keeps our mind from gasping for relief. I used to challenge people and the way they made me feel or want to be but challenging ourselves to become the best version of ourselves not only inspires us, it inspires others to do the same and for that we start to sense that release and relief.Hope this has helped a little,White knight your right. no one is the same

Hi guys, the problem in this world is everyone wants to be a king or queen. What we have to stop and realise is that a lot of us are waking up to the fact that we don't ned everything a king or queen needs. What we need is, is unconditional love and respect and then if anything a brief reciprocation would be appreciated. Discovering my souls path has taken me a lot of research and learning power but without that inner wisdom we all possess in one way or another we are able to accumulate the knowledge that is necessary to overcome our own life experiences. There's a saying which I quite like:

KNOWLEDGE is knowing a tomato is a fruit.

WISDOM is not putting it in a fruit salad.

with this I started my journey towards thinking positively but yet outside the box and was able to discover parts of my inner self. I'll check out that 30min google search White Knight. We all need help in some way and whoever thinks they have everything, really has nothing. And who ever thinks they have nothing, really withhold everything. Use our talents and be creative in whatever interests us is the key to part of our happiness.

This is productive White Knight. My first forum i have ever joined because my journey has led me to want to help people with their problems and be an inspiration. I don't have a job at the moment, haven't for the past year, so that is my next step. After being a rigger for ten years in the highest suicide industry, and dealing with relationships to a point of severe manipulation or disrespect I have managed to keep my thoughts grounded now and learn to learn from mistakes. We can't change all this generation, only some will have the energy to understand what it is we are all trying to achieve, thats why I think focusing on the way children are brought up in this new generation will be and have a massive effect on their and their families future.

Take care, take action and accept any opportunity that comes our way. They only make us stronger
