I find the following quick mindfulness technique useful when I need to return to the here and now.

Five things I can see.

Four things I can hear.

Three things I can feel.

Two things I can smell.

One thing I can taste.

Hi Roberty_Bob,

Great way to tackle the mindfulness approach. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Black and blue moods tend to blind us to the beautiful side of life. It doesn't mean it has disappeared. So whenever my state of mind needs lifting, I search for beauty and give it my attention. It is usually all around us and may be simple things that we fail to notice. Being so attractive, beauty is easy to focus on, get totally absorbed in it. Sometimes we go though life so engrossed in inner turmoil that we miss out on all good things. It seems they just vanished.

There is reverse magic in  the"now you don't see it , now you do" spell.

Have a beautiful day.
