Hi Gizz,
It sounds like you've had a really rough time in the past, I'm sorry to hear you've been through so much. Although I can't make a diagnosis, I suppose the thing you have to look at for in picking if you have PTSD or depression is how you see the memories of the bad things that have happened to you. Do you think about them and feel sad and a bit angry? Or do you re-live them, feeling and seeing the exact same things you saw when they happened? With PTSD you will involuntarily see the traumatic things in your past and it will be as distressing as if they were happening again.
I wonder if you are currently receiving much help? With all that has happened I definitely think reaching out to a counsellor can give you some skills to manage either of these disorders. Do you have any strategies that have helped you before? What do you think you'd most like to get help with?
Feel free to jump on here anytime to let us know how you're going or just to chat.

Hi Gizz 36,
Well done on not having a cigarette in 3 months. I'm assuming the e cigarettes are a bit better,so ive heard.
Yes selling a house can be emotional and stressful so definitely go easy on yourself.
What you've been through in the past is traumatic and I wouldn't be surprised that feelings stemming from those events have resurfaced.
Some ppl live with the symptoms rather than get over them.
Your best bet would be to see a great psychologist. They've helped me.

Hey Gizz 36,
Yeah seeing a psychologist could be a positive move- you just need to find one you can feel comfortable with. I've been through a few but now I've found my guy.
You can do it!!!! That is getting off your nicotine addiction. I haven't smoked for a whole year now.
I vagely remember Monkey Magic...might have to google it and watch for a refresher. My friend got me that monkey in the pic.
Hope ur feeling a little better.

Hi Gizz 36
Oh dear how you have suffered. Please know that we are here for you. Monkey Magic's suggestion to see a psychologist is great. You may want to get a referral to a psychiatrist as well, as my understanding is that they deal with the medication side of things and also a diagnosis. You need to get some answers about your hurts and trauma.
So sorry you have suffered like you did.
Best wishes
CKS

Hi Gizz, I am so sorry to hear of what you have been through, but am glad you were able to share and have received such fine help.
If this is not too personal a question, I am wondering if you are still affected by Bell's. I have facial paralysis (a different sort) and there are wonderful support groups on Facebook, one in particular from Australia, which have helped me to feel less alone and more supported. You might like to check them out.
