Mintie my girl

I tried posting but logged me out. My dog mintie of 15 years crossed the rainbow bridge. Its what was best for her treatment wise, Im trying to process that she is still here just not physical.  Its not an ending because mintie was not just a body. Thats what i believe. I have been through dv and only child so mintie is like a sister to me. I have been really distressed and throwing up but had a nap and im reframing this as treatment rather than an ending.

You will see your dog again on day I believe. It's a serious grief no different to human loss I feel. I undermined my grief when my dog passes 5 years ago and it was a disservice to me because the pain came out of me eventually. You have to be extremely gentle and kind to yourself. The loss changes you but it is worth it for the beautiful life that you would have given your dog Mintie. Sorry for your loss. ❤️

Thank you. My mum and I got itchy last night and feel like it’s from Mintie who was always itchy and her last like conscious moment she was itching.  💕

Thank you. I was lying in her human sized bed and was talking to her. She is still here just not physically and its taking the hard time to adjust to that. She has so much stuff that we cant pack it up or make a box. If anyone has had a pet cross the rainbow bridge, how did you manage to process or like manage day to day. Her puppy pads are still on the floor

I dont know how to feel. The apartment feels dark and creepy quiet. Her stuff is everywhere. My sister mintie is gone

Hello Dear Mudcakes,

My heart goes out to you with the loss of your beautiful fur sister…May she RIP..

I lost my beautiful Ebony around 2 years ago, and I miss her still very much…

I buried her in my front garden right next to my veranda and planted a beautiful red rose bush on top of her grave, roses have never grown in my yard before, no matter how many I planted but this rose bush is so beautiful and a beautiful reminder of the gentle love she gave me….as well as the rose bush I have a birdbath next to it and get little feathered creatures visiting her as well (Ebony loved watching birds)…..I visit her each day and talk to her as well….

Maybe dear sweet Mudcakes find a nice area in your apartment where you could put maybe a photo of Mintie, a nice pot plant or make your own special monument using some of her toys, so when you’re feeling heartbroken about missing her…you have a quiet and special place to talk to her…and remember all the good precious times you had with her…

I know deep in my heart, that dogs have souls, beautiful and caring souls,  that leave us feeling their love forever….and we keep that love deep inside our own heart and soul…

Thank you. I can see Mintie playing with Ebony. Ebony probably greeted Mintie to give her a tour.

Her stuff is everywhere so no clue how to find a different spot.

I miss her so much. She was always there and always breathing and then she stopped. I keep reliving her not moving under her bluey blanket. I hope her soul stayed alive and she is at peace with her friends and still with me. I really hope so. I think she is..:. I miss my sister

Tomorrow is thursday. Its so close to a week and I just got a uti also. I keep thinking what if, what if we waited and she went to the vet appointment. I miss her so much and feel guilty
