I'm starting a new discussion because I am feeling totally lost with this new set up.
I can' locate any of the old threads I used to feel comfort in reading and occasionally contributing to.
I don't feel at all welcome in this new set up, far from it, I feel more disconnected than ever while at the same time people can see everything I have ever written, but I am having trouble contacting others!
To anyone else who feels a little confused and unwelcome, I totally understand!
I am disorientated and hope to feel more orientated somehow!
I receive notifications, but when I click on them, I can't even find the notification.
The Newest to Oldest option doesn't seem to work.
I have commented on a couple pf other posts about my struggles with the new set up...but can't find those posts anywhere!
It seems to me that if I start up this new discussion, then I should be able to find it under my own profile?
Maybe I will just chat with myslef here for a while until I either figure this new system out of give up!

Hi Dools and everyone,
I think I just accidentally deleted what I just wrote, but I'm not sure - it just suddenly disappeared! So I'm sorry if this is repetitive. I have trouble finding old discussions, and when I do, I have trouble finding the newest post - sometimes I have started replying to a post and realized it was written in 2015 or some such.. it takes extra concentration now to navigate these forums, and in the end I just don't come by much now. I came across this discussion completely by chance, just trying to find my way around.
Dools I don't seem to have said hi to you for ages, my sincere apologies. and waves to everyone else here, at least we know we are not alone in having some difficulties navigating things here!

I'm still working the new site out too.
How are you doing?

Hello Dools....Is this you? am I in the right place? I've found it terribly confusing too....and had no hopes of getting back to my old friends again. I had truly given up. I still am floundering, but Croix helped me somehow....not sure what I did, but have talked to him a few times now, so hopefully this makes contact with you too. I know how you feel...love Moon S x

Hey Moon,
Hello to you. Yes it is me! I'm struggling a bit with this new set up and with life in general. I need to spend a bit more time trying to nut this new system out. I could send a message to modsupport, but I don't understand what I am not understanding so have no way of describing what the issue is for me! Ha. Ha.
I might start up a new thread to reconnect with old friends and new. I will call it "Hi this is Doolhof, anyone want to chat?"
Hope you are doing okay Moon.

Hello Dools,
I wonder, would you try to explain what it is you want to do - like find specific people or the threads/Discussions you have been talking in before?
Or something else first?
& please, in which section will you put your new Discussion? Maybe, 'Introduce Yourself', then in there, you would put it in 'BB Social Zone'? Does this make sense?
Warmly,
mmMekitty

Dear Dools~
That idea of yours to make that thread sounds pretty good, saves you navigating and those of us who are wandering around I'm sure will find it
Hope you are doing OK

Hi mmMekitty,
I'm a little confused with the new titles of where to find stuff. There is a Notification section and then if I click on Profile more connections show up, this seems like a confusing duplication to me. Then on the mobile phone I get messages for Subscriptions. Subscriptions used to be for National Geographic and Readers Digest.
The newest to oldest thingy never seems to work for me. Thankfully I read someone's note about using the page counter box at the bottom of the screen.
I receive a notification but can't always locate where that is when I click on it. I don't know how to describe what I don't understand.
I've put my new thread in the Welcome section. It could well be in the wrong spot, I don't know.
Like anything new and different, I just have to keep using the forum and getting used to how it works.

Hi Croix,
Hope you are doing okay too. I'm a bit up and down, just like usual really!
Need to spend more time here to get used to the system. I am finding working full time now is exhausting! I haven't worked this many hours for over a decade. My job can be rather stressful and one of my co-workers is a really mean bully a lot of the time.
She can be like a sleeping crocodile, you have no idea when she is going to snap at you. I'm trying to work on ways of limiting the impact of her actions and behaviour.

Dear Dools~
Yes, the Forum is a strange land, I guess in time we will get comfortable with it, particularly if they keep on making new improvements.
Working full time is a pretty big ask, do you mind if I ask if this is permanent or for a limited time?
It's a pity about the crocodile, I do remember in the past you had positions you enjoyed and were sorry to leave. It is surprising how just one person can poison an otherwise OK place.
Do you have any strategies to deal with her as yet?

Hi Croix,
I am trying to soften the crocodile with kindness and cheery chats but that is not working. Today she wouldn't respond when I was asking questions or mentioning work stuff to her. I am really trying to not allow her to get under my skin.
The office seemed to have a lot of visitors today so I was unable to have a chat with her, I was kept quite busy doing my work load as well.
It was not my choice to work full time, I guess I could have said NO but felt like I had few options. I know we do have choices and they all have consequences one way or another.
I'm trying to make the most of it and find myself chatting to anyone who happens to walk past my desk!
As far as I can see, this will be full time from now on.
When the weather is nice I like to go for a walk after work, that helps to clear my head.
