Hello
today I confronted a process that commenced over 6 years ago with the diagnosis of my late wife with terminal cancer, since then I have been on a roller coaster of emotions all of which have been linked to a depressive state. I guess it commenced when we found out that there was nothing that could be done.... at the time I chose to work as we went through our journey and during that time it seems I was not of sound mind as I chose to trust colleagues to have my back, turns out the trust was misplaced and I am now faced with personal and financial ruin...... what’s the point?

Hello Tobe. meercat here. Im sorry to hear your having a difficult period. I have bipolar..depression and racing highs for 43 yrs now.
I changed my dr. recently and my meds have been adjusted down..this makes me work harder at coping and at relationships. Dr has told me to look at myself and my life. I think he meant accept things and get involved in life.
I dont think i have worked anywhere there was not a backstabber..there's one lurking in every tea room.
Here, at BB..everyone is kind and supportive so you've come to the right place. There are lots of forums to join in.
If you need a little light company pls join us at our virtual cafe..just type in google "bb cafe" and youll find us.
Hope to see you there.
meercat xx

Hi Tobe,
How difficult life has been for you. I lost a partner to an accident myself and you go through such a bad time grieving and moving forward it takes so much out of you.
Pleasr hang in there though and still look forward to the smallest of things, those things will help pull you through.
Sometimes it feels like there's no point to life, I have felt like that myself but then I go and do something funny or silly just to lift my spirits.
I could suggest joining a support group, seeing a psychologist, making a new friend. It's hard life but sometimes we just have to battle through to find hope and see what lies on the other side of those bad feelings.
For me I have to go to the beach, be creative, do fitness and laugh even if I don't feel like it to keep going.
I've had many ppl go against me but I won't let them win. I've also lost a lot of things/ ppl in life but I also won't let that define me. A swim in the ocean and being in the sun does wonders for me. I'm sure there are some things unique to you that can make you feel better.
Feel free to write some more if you're up to it.

Hi Tobe,
TThis time of year seems to empasize our grief. Is there a supportive grief counselling group in your area you could join? Is there a hobby you enjoy doing, as it may be good for you to get back into that.
II know you don't feel like smiling but be spontaneous and smile at one of the back stabbers at work, it will make them wonder what they did to cause the smile which should make you smile even more..
TTAke care
