Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I am finding that almost anything anyone says at the moment is whirling in my mind and I can't stop myself from biting their head off. For a while I've been having trouble controlling what I say and I'm to the point where I'm unable to have a conversation without arguing or being really angry with the other person.
I have recently come off some meds and I'm stressed from christmas but I don't feel they are the only reasons. I feel like I'm losing it a bit and I really can't control myself at all.
My psychologist mentioned possibly going to hospital for a while and to discuss with my new psychiatrist who I see mid Jan. He obviously thinks I'm acting crazy too!
Thanks for listening.

dear Juliet, everything must be hectic for you at the moment.
It frustrates me when one professional passes you over to someone else, and I'm only talking about depression here.
I wouldn't think that they believe you are crazy, but they don't know what condition you have and therefore don't know how to treat you.
I am just curious why you have come off the meds, either they weren't working or the side effects were too difficult to handle.
Just a general question do your moods change completely, and if they this may indicate that you may have bipolar, so please google this 'bipolar symptoms'.
If by any chance that you do have bipolar then it's wise to be taking medication which will help to control these moods.
Can you please get back to us. L Geoff. x

Hi Juliet
This is such a tough time when you need to see professionals for assistance … but I hope if you feel the need, you are able to call the above phone number on the top of this page for possible immediate assistance. Of course you can also post here as often as you want and you will always receive support and compassion here.
Like Geoff, I’m a bit confused why you were taken off your medications, as you are clearly in need of some sort of meds to hopefully assist you.
As you do have a psychologist, I’m assuming you may have gone through your GP in order to arrange that set up? If yes, is it possible to get back to your GP as soon as possible, so you can at least stress to them how you’re now feeling. And to also let them know that they are placing you with a new psychiatrist, which is still going to be a few weeks away yet.
Please take care Juliet and get back to us and let us know how you’re getting on.
Cheers
Neil

Thanks guys xx
geoff yes I have considered bipolar and have been assessed quite a few times but docs don't seem to think I have it. Some symptoms sound right but I don't have the symptoms of feeling energetic/fast thinking at all. I came off the meds because I was just feeling very numb and didn't want to stay that way anymore. Interestingly I am not as down as I thought I would be more apathetic.
Neil I was thinking about booking in with my GP but I can't get an appointment until close to the psychiatrist's appointment so I think I'll just wait. I had thought about calling the BB number last night so maybe next time I will 🙂 Had a pretty good day today.
Thanks
Juliet
