Trouble sleeping

Hello everyone,
It's nearly 3am as I'm posting this. I'm finding it hard to go back to sleep as I was woken up. In general I find it hard to sleep these days at night. I can sometimes nap during the day to catch up but yeh issues at night.
The usual too much on my mind, sometime I'm aware I'm thinking and sometimes I'm not. I just want all my problems to disappear or for myself to disappear. I know it's impossible.
I've tried calming/relaxation exercises and staying away from 'screen' before heading off but nothing seems to work. Anyone got any ideas? I'm just tired of being tired and everything else I guess.

Hello Everyone,
It has been a few weeks since my post and while I don't think I'm 100% there with a solution. I do believe I have improved. I have found that having some sort of consistent evening routine my body can get used to helps.
I try to walk everyday late in the afternoon like 4-5pm and some basic 5 minute stretches before I put myself in bed. Even if I'm not tired I'll try and be in bed by 9-9.30pm just so my body gets used to being there earlier than usual. I believe I think a lot l less with the light on, it's like the dark gives me too much time with my thoughts as I'm trying to sleep so as of now I'm sleeping with a dimmed regular lamp. Now I know screen time is not the best thing before bed, but I found that reading things I find boring or I don't understand helps me get tired. I have books but only a few and I do not find them boring, so those would keep me up. Lastly, I sometimes use earplugs for the dogs in the neighbourhood that will occasionally bark and any other random noises I can hear. I'm a light sleeper so sometimes the smallest sounds can wake me up.
As of now those slight changed have improved my sleep moderately because there are still nights when I find myself up at 2-3am in the morning, just not as much as before.

That is great. Applaud yourself for trying small steps and keeping a routine.
I agree about the dark. I always think too much in the dark too.
Anne of Green Gables puts me to sleep in under 15 minutes or Pride and Prejudice (the Original). Couldn't understand every second paragraph. lol.
