Dear Addison~

I'd like to welcome you here to the Forum, an undemanding place where people help as they can, don't judge and try to understand.

I'm afraid I don't follow everything you said, though some things do stand out. You are tired. You are undergoing therapy and think it affects your thoughts and you. Either life or doctors or illness have removed your ability to choose, and that makes you feel less a person.

Ok, a hard time for you, and perhaps if you were to say more here we could relate better and perhaps say how we survived and coped.

You can know about me if you like, I've PTSD, anxiety and bouts of depression, have been suicidal and hospitalized. I'm now much improved.

Do you mind if I ask what you are being treated for, how your life has been, and if you have family or friends to support you?

Many find the simple exercise of talking helps

I understand how that feels and completely agree that it is about no choice and lack of support in system structures. They make life harder for many and if we are honest it comes down to individual and personal life and space and help that is non judgemental and sincere with acceptance.

Thank you so much for you noticing my words , in response my name is Addison , I am 37 years of age. I have fibromyalgia and me , physically and for the mental health side it’s bpd , anxiety , depression , ptsd , mood dis order and did but that’s my assumption, I was also diagnosed with schizoaffective mood disorder in 2008. I live with my mum as my dad died of cancer 2 years ago , I am starting emdr therapy on Tuesday coming kind of scared and excited , I have two sisters and a fur kid. I volunteer at a community gym and also here at beyond blue.

I hope this has answered you inner curiosity

Dear Addison~

I'm please you have come back and continued to talk. You certainly have a great deal of hassles to try to cope with. I can well understand if you have mixed feelings about starting EMDR therapy, though the reports here in the Forum tend to be positive.

If you Google

EMDR beyondblue forum

You will see there are many threads which mention it.

I've found volunteering has made a load of difference to me, not only here in beyondblue but other areas too.

I'm guessing a fur kid is a pet? I've 2 cats, Sumo and Nasty, also a dog, Foxy, who demands walks, which is good all round
