Sad

Hi, I'm feeling sad my hair is falling out each time I comb it and in the shower. I've got an appointment with my doctor on Monday and ask her why and what can I do. And also thinking to reach out to my support worker. It makes me depressed.

Dear Reading456~

I'm sorry to hear that your hair is coming out, this is a very worrying thing and I'm glad you are seeing a doctor on Monday. There are of course many reasons why this might happen and a medical checkup is by far the best thing to do.

In you other post today you said how little you liked yourself and ate too much as a result. I'm no doctor but suspect there might be a possibility htat the two may be linked. If you look around the forum you wil see others who when highly stressed or depressed have their hair fall out too

They have also reported back it has returned after their illness has been assisted. I'm not saying this is what is happening to you, it is a guess based on what others have said but  I hope gives some hope.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this but if you are unhappy with yourself compared to others  and overeat as a result it might be worth contacting the Butterfly Foundation, who specialize in body image and eating disorders, they are very used to these problems and freindly too.

I'm sure these things can be sorted out and you can have a happier and better life

Croix is right in what he tells you
Emotional stress does make your hair fall out.   It seems the hair folicle goes into a depressed resting state and then can die off after a few months of being dormant. Stress can be so hard on the body and can cause so many ailments.  Stress is literally a killer.   I lost hair this year as I been so stressed with Anxiety / depression.  Be sure to tell Doctor how you have been emotionally  as this will help in diagnosing your hair loss.
