Hi aussiealways,
Your situation sound tough. Having repetitive episodes of depression would be exhausting and debilitating like you said. Just remember, you are not alone. You may not have people around you in your everyday life to relate to but hopefully coming on here and finding people who understand will help. Do you have many strategies on how you pull through a depressive episode? Doing a job you like or being social are really great ways to help yourself feel better. Little things might also help.
You seem very strong to continually get knocked down and pull yourself back up again. I can imagine its very overwhelming. Struggling to function is a clear indication that it's really taking a toll on your life. If you don't mind me asking, are you receiving professional help?
You can share as much r as little as you're comfortable sharing,
idek

Hey buddy,
I'm going through the same thing and one thing I've noticed is that participating in volunteer events temporarily works for me. And as you form social groups through these activities -- your spirit will rise a little. You'll get to become more involved.
I volunteered for oxfam for a bit - and they were the best 3 days I've had in a while. My mood does sink again, but just for a week prior and ahead of that volunteering event -- I did have a great time. So I'd say: look around and see if there's any bushwalking groups you can join in on, any volunteering you can you can get your hands in. If nothing else, call in your local hospital, see if they're looking for any volunteers.
I think it's working for me, atleast I hope it is.
So, see if you wanna give that a try.
Take care
