Hi Wadeo,
Welcome to Beyond Blue and the community here, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday. Hopefully your wife and children helped you to celebrate.
It can suck and hurt when people forget your Birthday and other dates and experiences that are important to you. Over the years I have tried to let go of the hurt, pain and disappointment. It doesn't always work mind you, but making an attempt to do so makes me feel better.
Sounds like your work place is full on. Are there not rules and regulations that stipulate people are required to have a certain amount of breaks during a day?
Being new at a job might make it hard to investigate and to be seen as making waves if you enquire about your rights to breaks. Do any of the other workers have lunch breaks at all?
Would you like to share more of how you are feeling? People might be able to give you some suggestions on how to change things for the better.
Do you have weekends off work? Do you like spending time with the family? Can you think of new and different things to do on weekends to help add some spice to your life?
Do you have hobbies and interests? Do you drive to work or catch transport? If you use public transport can you use the travelling time to do something you might enjoy like read, do a cross word puzzle or so on.
I feel like I have asked a lot of questions here!
Maybe you could make a list of things you like do, things you would like to do and work on achieving some of those things.
Hope some of this helps you.
Cheers for now from Mrs. Dools

Hi Wadeo
I would like to say Happy Birthday to you as well! And yeah, I am sorry you are feeling like you going downhill. I hope you feel better soon.
Anyway I am not sure where you work. But if you are concerned that you should be having a lunch break. Have you considered contacting "Fairwork Australia"? It is run by the Australian government I believe. They might be able to advise you or something.
There web address is: www.fairwork.gov au or you could telephone them on 13 13 94.
Take care now
Shelley xx

I would think that you would walk around saying to yourself when you see someone, 'it's my birthday today', but no recognition and not even from your boss who you would think that he/she would know.
It does seem as though you are working very long hours, and with this it appears that you are falling to the beast, and your lack of people wishing you the best is just a stepping stone to why 'you are going down hill'.
Perhaps if you can get back to us we maybe able to stall and hopefully stop or assist you along the way. Geoff.

Hi Wadeo,
Happy Birthday for the 8th and sorry to read you were forgotten by some
I would be thinking you must also be excessively tired, long hours and no lunch breaks! Totally illegal with today's WHS. But understandable in a new job that you do not want to rock the boat.
Agree with Mrs Dools in that I wonder what the other employees do and think about this.
Perhaps after work and weekends do you have some time to rejuvenate, though with family obligations I realise this can be hard.
Perhaps you can pop back here and give an idea of your interests and or what you might like to do
Cheers Michelle

.......(It's only a little bit late)..but ..Happy Birthday!!!!!
March 8 means you must be a sensitive, romantic, idealistic Pisces......who needs a lunch break! As the others said, I am sure it's required legally to let you have a break - but I can understand your not wanting to make waves so soon...are you sure the others don't have breaks?
Starting a new job is right up there on the stress-list.....and very difficult to handle for most of us. You are tired, and understandably so.
Let us know how you get on......wishing you all the best.......cheers...MS
