Had whole top row of teeth out except 2 now I look like a hideous monster. I cry I can’t find the insulting jokes you say funny at all as I feel so insecure. You call me pathetic because I just want to crawl in a hole. Socialise what’s that that so scary who would talk to someone that’s drooling and can’t talk properly. Another insult gee ta cry again.
I can’t go on like this my kids deserve better.
I need to wake up from this nightmare that won’t go away.

Welcome to our forums. We thank you for finding the strength and courage to post about your struggles. We are quite a helpful and supportive community.
We understand that you are feeling quite overwhelmed with everything going on in your life. Sometimes sleeping a lot, and sometimes not being able to sleep for days can make it quite difficult to maintain mental equilibrium. However, your obvious love for your children helps you to find your considerable inner strength.
Are you under a GP's care? A GP should be able to help you with some of these complexities that you are going through.
We would like to encourage you to call BeyoundBlue Support Services on 1300 22 4636, or Lifeline on 13 1114, whenever you are feeling like you might be becoming overwhelmed with everything. Both of these services are free, and both are 24-hours per day, every day of the year. Finally, if things ever seem to be too much and you cannot cope with it all, this is an emergency, so please call 000.
Warm regards,
Sophie M.

Hello Ratsncats, this must be such an awful experience you have to cope with, and so very sorry it's a situation you have been left with, and please excuse me when I say why didn't they remove all your teeth, and I mean no harm in saying this because then you would be able to dentures.
Can I just offer my deepest sympathy and suggest two options, the first being going to a dentist and asked for the remaining teeth to be removed, you can pay for this on a no interest payment plan to be paid off over several payments that suit you, then they can organise a set of dentures which can also be on a payment plan.
Secondly if you are receiving Centrelink benefits then you can visit the dentist at the Community Health Centre, there you pay about $20 or so and have the same done as above, although I'm unsure about payment for these.
You could also wear a mask and tell people you are worried about catching the COVID, people are still wearing them.
Please get back to us and please have no fear in talking with us.
My best.
Geoff.

Yeah I’m slow very slow slow process of dentures started getting teeth out feb that’s lot was 4 in one go they won’t touch one of teeth and may need surgery for it so all the dentist chair pain was for nothing cause they could have done it all under.
find it so hard not to have support with my partner only says get ova it it’s not forever but honestly it actually is forever my teeth won’t grow back yeah I get a plate but my face has changed shape and has also made my depression so bad. I wear a mask when I do go out but I drool everywhere. It’s so embarrassing. Nothing seems like it’s helping my head.
I have 3 kids on spectrum and has been very interesting for years now since mum passed away. I just feel extremely I don’t know.
I have booked a doc appointment for tomorrow.
sorry I’ll stop sooking now

Hi Ratsncats,
Welcome to the community here. I would just like to say you are not sooking, please know you are welcome to share how you are feeling here if you want to.
It does sound like you are needing to go through quite a process with your teeth, it can be very hard waiting for an outcome.
It can be very hard for anyone not in your situation to fully understand what you are experiencing. People can be cruel with their comments, I hope you can find a way to stand tall when people are unpolite and be aware that you have every right to be yourself.
Hopefully the Dr can assist you. I have used the support services of Beyond Blue and Life Line and have found them to be helpful. Hope you find some support.
Having 3 children on the spectrum must be complex at times as well.
Wishing you strength and also the ability to rest when you need to.

Hi Ratsncats (I like the name)
I'm sorry about what is happening to you it must be quite a big shock. I hope your teeth get sorted soon and your drooling settles. I think there is a medication (I am not 100 percent sure) that helps with severe drooling, ask your GP if that is the case. Maybe when you are feeling better also and get your dentures the drooling may settle.
You have three kids on the spectrum, my hat is off to you I have one on the spectrum, and it's busy times. Stressful too. Are they on the NDIS? I hire a peer who takes my son for two hours a week, they play tennis or go bowling or squash, and that two hours is my time. I use the NDIS funding for this and he has a ball and comes home exhausted.
You are not a sook Ratsncats, I hear you it's a huge shock for you, hang in there. I hope things get better soon.

Hello Ratsncats, the forums are a place for anybody to vent, because how can we call you a sook when we have done exactly the same when we first started and even in the later years, so there is no way you should feel like this when talking to us, all comments that are posted are so important for everybody, especially the OP (original poster).
My best.
Geoff.
