Ni naralle,
First I want to welcome you to the forums, and thank you for opening up a bit about what you're struggling with. I'm so sorry to hear that you've been struggling this month in particular. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help, and you've absolutely come to the right place.
You say your depression has been active and controlled– does that mean that you feel you have it under control? Do you mind my asking if you have sought help before from a mental health professional and been diagnosed? Would love to chat more and hear how you're going.
Warmly,
Gems

Welcome Narelle,
Although its under not so great circumstances, I'm glad that we are able to connect with each other through this space. I have found it to be a nurturing, kind and non-judgmental space, so I do hope you have a similar positive experience.
From your writing it sounds like you are not new to the depressed feelings you have experienced over the month of June, and although I can imagine it defeating not being able to be your bubbly self at the moment? Being able to identify these changes within yourself shows a high level of insight and self-awareness. Taking the next step and reaching out is amazing, you are an amazing self-advocate ❤️
I know we are only two days in but its a new month! Whats July been like so far?

Hi Narelle,
It’s important to reach out when you are feeling down, you are doing the right thing.
I go back to basics when I am depressed, and it really helps. Eating healthy meals, sleeping at night, and getting out in the sunshine.
Are you linked in with some health professionals?
I find an activity timetable or schedule really helps me sometimes too. Just putting down one or two things each day brings some focus and a sense of achievement once completed.

Hey Naralle,
I'm sorry to hear that July has not been too kind, sounds like it has been a nag.
I'm aware that quite some time has past since you posted, so I wanted to ask how august has been treating you? I hope she remembered her manners! How have you and your partner been?
Life for me has been a but of a mental challenge also, really trying to scrap some positively where I can. Being here helps ❤️
