Hi there,

I look like a normal and lively lady, but my inside a lot of problems, angers and discomforts. I don't know and don't understand my tackles. My partner and I have been together for 13 years (meet at the first year in Australia). English is our 2nd language. We have fertility issues, my partner has no sperm out and also he addicted to slot machines for last 8 years. He is much older than me. I bear them till today. I am crazy right?! After these long years I am becoming more aggressive and stressful old lady. We have adopted daughter she is 3 now. I have no job, just look after her. I met a psychologist last year and she did not help me lot. Now I don't know where should I go and how to help or regulate my life!? Really worthless and hateful to myself!

Hi Hulaka,

Thanks for coming here for help and advice. You have made a great first step. Please know, if you are ever in crisis or need to talk to someone at beyond blue one on one you can contact one of our counsellors here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/talk-to-a-counsellor

Gambling is a nasty addiction that impacts the lives of many. There are some great supports available for friends and family members of those who suffer gambling addictions. You can find some amazing advice and support here: https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/gambling-advice-for-family-and-friends

Regarding some of your mental health issues there are some things we can do for ourself to help with these. I personally find exercise helps alot as well as keeping in touch with family or friends. A great resource I would recommend is a recent government initiative called head to health. They have a support line and centres around the country to help people find professional help. You can call or find your closest centre here: https://www.headtohealth.gov.au/head-to-health-services

I hope this helps a bit. Please let me know if this is useful.
