DeeepBlue1771~
I'd like to welcome you here to the forum and agree, at times face to face is different and can answer some needs more than text does - which is not to say you are not welcome here -you are.
I'm afraid that members of the forum are not in a position to recommend specific groups in your area but I do have a couple of suggestions:
Thee Blackdog Institute has a list of support groups divided up into each state and territory.
https://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au/resources-support/support-groups/
You may find something there
Apart from that you can try contact with our 24/7 support service and see if they have any ideas
I hope this is of some help

Dear R.Penn
I guess the same answer I gave DeepBlue1771 is the best I can do for you too. There is no very comprehensive listing by state for such groups, and it is as much word of mouth and asking professional as anything else.
If you do find one it can be very helpful.
If you are on a Medicare Mental Health Plan this may cover the standard fee on groups run by a professional as well as single face to face psychologists visits (though there is still the same annual limit and gap fee of course)

Hi DeepBlue1771,
In Victoria there is ADAVIC and ARCVIC. Both emphasise anxiety in their names, but depression and general mental health struggles were regular topics in the groups as well. You should be able to find their websites on google.
