Hi I have been feeling low for a long time. My son's were taken by their father and I haven't seen them in 7 years then my dad passed away. I'm feeling alone. I have spoken to Drs phyciatrists and they were rude to me at my time if need. I'm looking for people to talk to that know how I feel. I've had depression all my life I am 51.
- I don't enjoy anything anymore not even music. I need friends

Hello wendykasz007,
It's lovely to meet you. I'm so sorry to hear you have been feeling so alone and haven't been given the support you needed from doctors and psychiatrists. It sounds like you really need some kind and understanding people especially with your dad's passing and not having your sons around.
I'm hoping you can find some support here, where there are many who have also experienced depression. I was hospitalised about 7 or 8 years ago and I'm glad to have found a way forward.
If you'd like to share any more about how you are going, please feel free to share whatever you feel comfortable with. We have an understanding community and would love to welcome you and your story.
James

Thankyou so much for your understanding and support. I I asked my mum for some help and she came over to see me and talk. It really helped. I'm going to see a support worker this week.it really is such a debilitating sickness depression. Pushing through though.

Hi wendykasz007,
Oh that's wonderful to hear! I'm really glad you were able to open up to your mum and talk to her. I had a similar experience with my sister who was just very good to me.
It's also fantastic to hear you are going to see a support worker. As you say, depression is so debilitating, it's really unfortunate when we feel we have to go alone.
Good on you, and thank you for the update. It was lovely to hear from you again.
Take care for now
James
