Hello Jess..
I would like to give you a warm welcome to the forums as well as the other lovely people have done...
Yes Beyond Blue does help..
I joined these forums back in 2017 after my husband passed away.....I was in denial of my marriage, myself and life.... I was in a very confused, suicidal mess..living alone I had no where to reach out to except here the forums..
With the gentle help from the other members here, I leant to trust them and felt cared for....the first time ever in my life...I learned a lot about what I was going through with their lived experience and suggestions...I reached out to my Dr. with their gentle suggestions and was put on a mental health care plan....and with the help of my professionals...and the beautiful people on the forums..I started my way to wellness...
In all honestly I could say that without the care I received here..I don’t think I would have made it through what I was going through...
I feel, cared for! Loved and accepted here..and now Beyond Blue has become a part of my life, that I don’t want to ever loose....
3 years on I felt well enough and wanted to give back all the help I received from Beyond Blue...and volunteered myself here to help others...and was accepted to be a community champion...4 months ago...in these past 4 months..I have grown even more..by helping other people on the forums as well as still getting support when I need it...helping people is something that I love to do...and gives me a sense of purpose....
Absolutely ....Beyond Blue can and does help a lot of people by helping talking things through with them...and guiding them in the right direction to start their journey towards wellness....
My kindest and most caring thoughts..Dear Jess..
Grandy..
