I've left my boyfriend of 25 years and now in a flat all alone,I'm lost and no one to talk to with no friends in this new town,my family think I'm crazy and unstable, but I'm very lonely and depressed I'm broke paying bills left behind from the house, and now I am alone thinking of negative thoughts I don't know what to do

Hi LW, welcome

Ive been in your dituation a few times. Its tough.

Time is your friend, the more time that goes by, the better you'll feel, the more your new place will feel like home.

Do you have a pet? If not a lonely unloved dog or cat from a pound could be a distraction

Hi Lonewonderer

Welcome to our forums.

It is very brave of you to leave your partner. What prompted this change?

Sounds like you have recently moved towns. Are there any community groups you can join, the local council might have some activities. What about the library?

Have you tried getting out for a walk...its easier to say hi to people as you are walking past, that way you can start a conversation when you see them in other locations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
