Hi and welcome.
It's common to feel this way and it's also normal to find things such as basic tasks like getting out of a bed a struggle. Yes it is normal.

Hi, Thank you. Nothing bad has happened as such, I'm unmotivated to do anything though and that mkaes me feel bad. I started new anti-depressants a couple weeks ago but im not sure how they're working. I'm worried about my boyfriend, too. And my family. and my grades. Everything seems to be going wrong. What if im not enoguh? What if I can't keep smiling tomorrow? Or the day after? I don't want to worry everyone around me.

Hi IceCreamBunny.
You are good enough. Antidepressants take a while to work, some a couple of months, it's not a fix everything solution & in a couple of days, so you have to be patient.
Amber, I'm not sure how drinking water would dilute it? And please be weary it's different for everyone, just because it worked for you, it may not work for others.

Hi IceCreamBunny,
I am so sorry to hear about your current struggle. It is fantastic that you have chosen to reach out in this forum and talking to people is a great first step.
Like Matchy and mb20lover mentioned, it can take some time before antidepressants start working properly. If you have any concerns about your medication, I recommend talking to your GP.
I also wanted to reassure you that how you are feeling at the moment is completely normal. If you feel like your body needs a break, give it a break. If you feel enough motivation to push on and get out of bed, really try. Appreciate the little achievements and eventually you'll be making bigger strides.

Hi IceCreamBunny,
I agree, you have taken the biggest first step in reaching out and that is and of itself a wonderful thing.
However what is more important is you well and truly are and will always be enough. Medication is a tricky thing and can take time a long time to get it right.
I did wish to ask thought in relation to feeling as tired as you are have you spoken to your GP about maybe getting a blood test done. I only ask while depression is debilitating, I found that other things like Iron and B12 have a massive impact on being tired. I was at one point, assuemed to have chronic fatigue or narcolepsy because I felt as you did and struggled to stay awake. It turned out I was so B12 deficiant I required weekly injections, which once I had done several, I was finally able to stay awake and did not feel the tiredness you speak of. I appreciate and understand everyone's medical needs are different so by no means recommend self prescribing vitamins , but if you have not done so, maybe it could be worth wild having bloods done to see if there could be something else as well as your depression. Fair to say vitamin deficiency can be a really easy fix and give you the energy you need to work on your depression without being as tired.
But it is ok and normal to feel as you are.
