I'm struggling with self hate and depression and want to talk to a professional about it
how do i get the courage to talk to parents about this
i don't know why its so scary but it is 
what are some strategies i could try

Doesnt matter right now that you are scared to talk about it.  Your scared and thats that.

If you told your parents what is the worst thing that could happen .  It probably wont be as bad as what you imagine.

Have you tried writing about it to your parents starting with mum and dad im scared to tell you this so thats why im writing instead of just saying it.

Or do you have any older adults you feel comfortable in telling your problems  to. Grandparents for example or school counsellor if your at school.

The important thing is for you to find a way of getting this problem out in the open with trusted people in your life.

Dont give up because you reached out this far to us at beyond blue and that turned out well so maybe try when your ready reach a little further to someone you trust.
