A bit low

Hi I have just started feeling very low lately I don’t know why I have no financial problems, some illness in family but have dealt with this for a while. I feel just bland if that possible. I feel jittery as well.

Hi, welcome

As a person that has been really active in my life (maybe due to mania) with dozens of jobs, 15 professions, many hobbies etc, I've never felt "bland" nor bored.

So as your information is limited, I can only suggest there could be a void there that needs filling. Do you have a passion, hobby, interest?

You have no financial issues but do you expect to have them?

I hope you can reply and we can assist you further.

Hi

thank you for answering my post, I have hobbies but of late I just don’t want to do them 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe I need a new interest. I don’t work anymore, I have volunteered but due to injury can’t get back into that for a few months. It’s only the last few weeks I have felt like this, I usually keep myself busy but ATM i can’t get any motivation. I just feel lost.

The warmest of welcomes to you 🙂

It can definitely be tough, gaining an accurate sense of what we're feeling at any given time. A general sense really doesn't help pinpoint what challenges can be at play.

Personally, I've found there can be a variety of lows under the headings of physical/chemical lows (including deficiencies or imbalances, for example), mental lows connected to belief systems, a lack of mental stimulation, certain inner dialogue etc and then there can be what I'd call natural lows that can come with a lack of inspiration or can come with a sense of 'twisting in the wind without any sense of direction'. What all can have in common is low energy. Hard to feel joyful or excited when we've got next to no energy running through us with which to feel joy or excitement through

The jittery feeling's an interesting one too. Such a feeling can also relate to a variety of things, such as stress, frustration, an agitating need that's demanding to be met (such as maybe some new goals that need to be set and worked towards), a sense of other people's stress or upset, growing intolerance, a nervous system that's needing attention and management and the list goes on.

Can be hard to put our finger on things, especially if we're not in the habit of dealing with feelings. In life I think we're more so directed to brush feelings aside or ignore them, as opposed to practicing gaining a better sense of what they're trying to tell us. All feelings are telling. Do you have anyone in your life who'd be good or helpful when it comes to helping you gain a better sense of what exactly it is you could be feeling, given your current situation?
