Tv Shows You Enjoy

Hello everyone! 😄

I don't know if anyone has made this yet, but I wanted to make a thread about TV shows. I know I'm obsessed with them and they help me bring me out of depression so I thought, how about everyone else? Well I'm going to get started and name my top TV shows which are:

1. Doctor Who

2.Supernatural

3.Sherlock

4.Orange is the New Black

5.Once upon a Time

And plenty more! So just put down you favourite TV shows down and we can talk... yea.... 😄

Hi!

When I was unwell with mental illness, I would watch the same TV shows over and over again. I don't really watch any TV shows now, as I have already found and watched the ones I like (I'm a tad fussy with TV viewing these days!).

Here's the ones that got me through the hard times:

1. Everybody Loves Raymond (people seem to either love it or hate it)

2. Modern Family

3. Monk (about an OCD detective; the crime plots are interesting, and the comedic elements make it unlike most other crime-related shows)

4. Full House (an old sitcom which is easy to follow and has great characters)

Hi all,

Great idea!

I don't watch a lot of of tv these days but the shows I do like are:

1. Big Bang Theory (I usually get a laugh out of this)

2. The Voice (entertaining and life affirming)

3. One Plus One (an interesting interview show on ABC)

4. Friday Night Footy (Hope this counts)

All these shows get me out of myself and are generally uplifting (except when my team loses at the footy!).

Hi there, my name is Pipsy.  I like the English comedy shows.

1.  Man About The House

2.  Love Thy Neighbor

3.  Bless This House

4.  Birds of A Feather

To name a few.

I know they're old, but English comedy (to me) is so natural.  They always make me laugh.  When I'm down which (thankfully) isn't often now.  I remember these shows and it helps.

Regards Pipsy.

I love TV series at the moment. I watch all online because I hate advertising (funny because my profession is marketing). Comedy is my favourite and that's a long list however my 2 all time favourite series are not comedy:

1. Fargo (original movie is one of my all time favs also)
2. Breaking Bad

Quite like Game of Thrones too.

Some of my fav comedies:
- Black Books (yep... Brit comedy is awesome)
- I.T Men
- The Larry Sanders Show
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Bored to Death
- Parks & Recreation
- Flight of the Concords
- Seinfeld

Hi there all;

Firstly, to “overthelamebow”, I’ve gotta say, GREAT thread and I’m not sure what age you are (no real need to reveal), but my daughter (14yo) has got a t-shirt that says on the front, “WhoSuperLock” (or something along those lines), which is a breakup of your first three fave shows:   Dr Who, Supernatural and Sherlock.   I’ve never been into Dr Who and it’ll stay that way, BUT my daughter sat with me through all the Seasons of ‘Super’ (Supernatural) and I LOVED it.  And then the same with Sherlock as well.

So those two are definitely on my list.

My other two big ones are:

Seinfeld;  &

Dexter.

Cheers,

Neil

Ps:   and then once the AFL season commences, I watch every night AFL360.   🙂

dear Neil, my friend, I would like to know who you barrack for because our good manager Chris is for Hawthorn, I'm for Richmond and my twin is for Melbourne and will stay at every game, even if they they are being thrashed by 15 goals until the last kick, I don't think I could do that.

The shows that I love are most British comedy shows, Faulty Towers again and again, the Carry on series, not that they are hilarious, and I must confess all the Law and Order SVU series, so a wide range from what everyone has said to the other side of mystery.

So my choice is wide open. Geoff.

I really used to enjoy "Police Story" back in the 70's. Probably why I ended up joining the police!

I like Call The Midwife and the early River Cottage shows.

Hi Geoff and Neil,

Glad to see you guys follow the footy. I like the AFL but rugby league is my passion. I used to barrack for Carlton when I was a kid. I also am a twin, it's a small world.

CrashCoyote, I used to watch "Police Story" too, I think with Angie Dickinson. That's stretching the memory!

One other show I really liked  was an English comedy called "Men Behaving Badly"and there was one other called "Rumpole of the Bailey".

Cheers
