The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hey Wayne

I am now crying from those words you just spoke to me.  I think I needed to hear them just now. Thankyou.

There must be some tissues around here somewhere......

Hiya Shell hun. There's an endless supply of magic tissues here in the cafe. They dry your eyes and tickle your nose till you smile. How are you possum? I see you've been busy out on the threads, spreading your special kindness. I always feel safe and warm when I see you about. xxx

Hiya Wayne, how's the babies? Do you get attached to your sheepies? (no prizes for guessing I'm not a farm girl haha).

Anyone want a late night snack or hot drink? Decaf for me at night, and a bickie.

Thankyou for the endless supply of tissues, I found them Kaz.....

I found a poor lost kitty cat meowing in a desperate manner at the cafe backdoor. So I put her in the cardboard box, with the hot water bottle and a soft blanket from one of the comfy chairs.

OK good night now.

Hi everyone,

the kitty is adorable. I think she should become the cafe cat. Maybe we should name her Mocha? She seems very comfortable stretched out on the couch.

I went to the zoo yesterday. Was a bit of fun. Completely exhausted now but worth it.

Wayne - I patted and fed a lamb and goat yesterday. I thought of u whilst I was there. They r super cute.

Im doing ok at the moment. Feeling a little off but hopefully can hold it together. Trying to keep my farm calm 😊 Might go for a walk.

oh my order....it's a hot chocolate day with marshmallows. Do u have any healthy breakfast food? Maybe quiche or fruit salad. Surprise me.

Morning KT! Healthy breakfast coming up (rumages through fridge and cupboards) We have mangoes, Greek yoghurt (a personal favourite of mine), oats, nuts, yummy sunflower seeds, and chocolate brownies. That do?

Busy morning out there in BB land. I need a coffee, and ipad needs a feed. Will be back later.

Oh Shell, I love the cat, can we keep her? Love the name too KT. Just right for a cafe cat.

Have a good day all, catch you later.

Oh lucky little Mocha.  Aren't you a lucky little cat. Well spotted there Shelley.  Now very definitely adopted by the Cafe fraternity.  A tentative stroke to you Mocha from me.  She seems a little shy, but I'm sure she will settle in very quickly with all this attention.  I cant get too carried away with my greeting of her, as I am a little allergic to cats fur.  So I wont stir up the fluff by being over exhuberant.

Gosh Kaz, the  yogurt, oats, nuts, seeds, etc sounds like a good healthy start to the day.  Skip the mangos though, as I'm not overly keen on mangoes.  And much as I love your brownies, I'll wait until later in the day.  I am shortly heading out to visit my old lady friend in the nursing home.  I will see if she'd like to go out for morning tea today.  She is always very keen to get out and about, so I expect she'll jump at the chance.  Wish I could bring her along to this cafe, but she may not understand unfortunately.  She would love Mocha though.

Hi Wayne, I'm glad you dont use 1080.  I always hated the use of that stuff.  Hunting is a much more humane method of controlling the fox population.  Oh and I must say, I do love a good roast lamb dinner.  Perhaps a nice sandwich for lunch with left over lamb later today?

Hello KT.  It sounds like you had a good day at the zoo.  Yeah baby lambs and goats are gorgeous arent they? Hope today is a good day for you as well.  The hot chocolate and Kaz's healthy breakfast is a good start anyway. Enjoy your walk.....

Kazzl - yes I used to live in Canberra for a number of years, although I left there in 2001.  I still remember the major exodus of Canberrans every holiday down to the South Coast.  Funny lot you Canberrans!      🙂

By the way Kaz, were you able to exchange the deceptive DVD thing to a real DVD player?

Was it decided when we make our donation to BB?  I read a date somewhere I think, but now I cant find it. If not already decided, perhaps we can make it the end of January or something?

Must go folks,  but I hope you all have a good day.  Gentle stroke to Mocha.  Oh, she's getting more friendly!

Sherie xx

Are you still in here someplace dear Sherie? Or have you now left to visit with your elderly friend. I hope you have a nice visit with her.  I so much want to know how your second day went at your new job...... Anyway I left a new sudoku book out for you, because I know you like them.

Hug for KT and Kaz

Oh kitty cat Mocha, here is some milk for you and some raw fish.

Hi Shelley,

I was gone by the time you arrived this morning I suspect.  Visiting my 85 year old friend in the nursing home.  And yes it was a nice visit.  I was intending to take her on an outing, but when I arrived the activities officer there said "oh, I'm so glad you're here, we are short staffed".  So I stayed there and helped out with getting them all into the rec room and serving them their morning tea.  But that was okay, as I enjoy that too.  They had an entertainer come in today as well, which was nice.  She was a singer guitarist and sang songs by Elvis, John Denver, Beetles, Glen Campbell.  So it was fun, with everyone singing along.  So I was busier than I had expected, but it was very pleasant.  And Shirley (my friend) actually knew the singer as well, so it was a bonus for her as well.  So our outing will keep until next week, which will be new year.

Hey and thanks for the sudoku book.  I've already done a few of them, but will leave some for others to do as well.

Isnt Mocha a sweet little thing.  And sooo spoilt now, after being an uncared for stray until you let her in.  Love her colours.

Holly wasnt so pleased with me this morning though after I had patted Mocha.  She could smell cat on me.  Just curious though and a bit jeolous I think, because she actually gets on very well with cats.  Not agressive with them at all.  So I think if I bring Holly in to visit the Cafe she wont have a problem with Mocha at all.

And I know already that Kaz's Cafe is a pet friendly business, and we can bring along our best buddies.   (-:

Hello to everyone else as well.  Although I see that business has been a bit quiet today.  Probably pick up after work as some people are probably at work today.  So I may catch some of you here later.

Hiya Sherie - sounds like you had a lovely day with your friend. I'd like to have been there! Love a good singalong I do.

Ham, salad, tabouleh and potato salad on the menu tonight. Too hot here for a cooked meal.

What were you doing in Canberra? I was here then too, arrived in 1995, came for work. We're off to the Bay for a day trip tomorrow. Will have a swim at Malua Bay and fish and chips on the beach. Nice.

Must attend to dinner - see you later.
