The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

The BB Cafe is amazing and serves whatever you want when and where you want.

mmMekitty, we don’t count calories here so the brunch feast sounds wonderful. I still have half of a half leg of ham that I am definitely putting some into a frittata today. Yum. It’s too hot for pea ham soup. What else goes well with ham? I will need to raid the fridge.

I know it’s January but my ducks have a nest out by the pool again. We had 13 ducklings hatch in October and they have another nest so soon. Unless this is another pair.? I’m no expert but is climate change confusing the ducks?

I've been really struggling and found this while I was on the website needing to talk to someone as I can't afford to go to my physiologist which sucks cause I really like her so would be nice to see her more.

So glat you found Beyond Blue, & the BB Cafe within. 

Personally, Im not sure how to help you to get to see your therapist, (did you mean psychologist? Or psychotherapist?) Have you spoken to her about how to afford to pay to continue to see her?

Perhaps, if you give the BB Counsellors a call on 1300 224 636, they could give you more direct help with this.

In the meantime, you are welcome to chat here, about light-hearted things. YOu might like to browse the other areas of the Forums, to see the other areas might offer you.

Someone I know has sent me a basic recipe for Lemonade Scones. It looks so simple. When the weather cools again, maybe in June, I'll give it a go, though I'll half soda water & half lemonade, to keep them from being too sweet. My casual friend, who really only sends me things he has found online, also sent some ideas for making them into savoury scones. That sounds really good to me.

I'm not really sure how many scones the recipe will make, but at least, there is a note saying they can be frozen.

Yes, it's only January, & last week, my support worker noticed the Hot Cross Buns are already on offer in a major supermarket near you!

No wonder is it that it all seems like too much for so many around here.

My PDr, (psychiatrist), is back at work this week. What ever will I talk about tomorrow?

Pineapple fritters are yummy with vanilla icecream - but I haven't tried the Macca's ones.

Hey Paul, I rather like pineapple on my pizza, with chicken, onion, capsicum, & BBQ sauce, but no, not pineapple fritters. Those above pizza toppings, I also like with rice. Often, I substitute the chicken for roo.

"Oh, no!" I think I can hear you say, "How un-Australian!"

"Oh yes", I reply, "what could be more Australian than a bit of roo?"

... To each their own, eh?

I suspect, the M-Franchise is trying to appeal to Aussies by including this item. In my opinion, they might have done better to include Baramundi fish fillets, & mini Peach Melbas.

Or Banana & Mango ice cream (I'm not liking that idea, though).

What about it? What other Aussie inspired things could appear on the M-Franchise's menu?

McDonalds are starting their Pineapple Fritters today..... the 10th. I havent had McDonalds since circa 1983. If I start to eat it again I wont be a size 32 in Levi's for long...seriously...and I wouldnt need my Ford XR8 to get around....just roll me down the driveway lol
