The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Good afternoon all.

Hey yggy going to the flicks mate, good one. Hang on i need water…ahh thats better!

Been busy working on the house it's all going well as I work to a plan don't know wether it's plan A B C or D but a plan nether the less.

The new born lambs are well, mum looks after them beautifully it's so cool to watch. When there born I need to put a birth tag in there ear, it needs to be done when there new born as you cannot catch em after a day as there mum runs/walks off with them and you can't get at em it's hard when there's twins or triplets when you do it buy yourself..the birth tag is so you know who the mum and sire is to keep track of the genetics, I also weigh them at birth then at 3 and 6 months.

I caught an episode of Shaun the sheep yesterday it was so funny i had a good laugh luv that shaun so cheeky.

Don't know why Lucy's pic hasn't popped up ? will try again soon or take another pic of her and yes Sherie just a pretty shot nothing else..

Buy the way how is ever ones doggies going today any of them getting in mischief ??

My Granddaughters name is Madison she is five, I love when she rings me for a chat, she likes to tell me stories about he new pony which she got recently for her birthday..more than cute!

Well gotta go, stuff to do- will call back for a short black late.

See you all

Wayne.

Hiiii everyone ..........

Feeling a bit more sociable this afternoon so I thought I pop in to say goodaye.

Hey Shelley, yes I'd love a nice juice thanks.  And thanks also for doing all the tea towells.  I did the washing up last night as I left (via the dishwasher of course), but didnt even think of the washing.  Yes I used to love those old prop style clothes lines.  Sheets, towels everything used to flap around in the breeze and used to dry so much faster than the more modern rotary clothes lines.  But of course, you needed space.  Fine on the farm for the big long prop lines, but not so good in a suburban quarter acre block.

Yggy, I hope you enjoy the movie today and get a good laugh out of it.  So what are you seeing?

KT, I am still unable to make those emoticons appear.   😉

Hi Wayne.  Nice to see you back at the cafe.  Glad to hear that you havent been exploiting little Lucy by putting some sort of dog porn on the website!  I'm still looking forward to seeing her photo though, so I hope you manage to put it on here sometime.  Glad the little lambs are doing well.  I do love to see little lambs frollicking around.  It sounds like all your stock are studs.  Ie ewes retained for breeding, and excess ram lambs for selling to other farms? Sorry to ask, but do you keep any for your own supplies, ie meat?

Any yes my little dog has been up to mischief today.  Well not mischief really, its an instinct to catch themselves a bit of a meal after all.  My little Holly was very clever this morning and chased down a rabbit for her dinner.  I was saying on the "worthless" thread earlier that I was very proud of her.  Actually it is big enough for about 3 dinners for her, so she did well.  She is a very happy little girl today.

Your little 5yo granddaughter sounds adorable.  My 2 granddaughters are both 3.  The elder grandchildren are all boys and are between 16 and 5.

Okay thanks for the juice Shelley, I am heading out to watch the cricket again now.

Sherie x

Hello All,

Shelley Anne - I'ld love a juice, thank you!

Wayne, good you tagged the lambs early, yes they grow fast and run even faster! Working on the house is always a good plan and one that never seems to go out of fashion.

I'm back on the beach. I love the waves. I love the peace here, eapecially on a cold & cloudy & windy day when not a lot of people go to the beach.

The movie was quite enjoyable, I have a non existing sense of humour, but even I got a few laughs.

Hope you're all ok. Hugs, Yggy x

Here you go sweet yggy, here is a fresh juice for you. I am so glad you enjoyed the movies, and that you were able to laugh, even it is was only a little bit. What movie did you go and see? Yes I too really appreciate the beach, and the waves. I think it is sort of calming to our very souls, especially when it is quite, coolish and windy. And with not too many people....

Well I am just going to go for an imaginary walk around Kaz's cafe.....

Hi to all,

Shelly can I please have one of your juices, make it American size…so so thirsty. Hey keep the change !!

Any surf yggy ? do you go surfing or swim ? It is good when the beach is a little vacant, I do like the beach but a bit far to go now so the dam is my swim hole.

Good to see you liked the movie.

Catch you all later.

Wayne..

Hi Shelley, I'm glad I bumped into you again.  I was just on your other thread.  Are you sure you're okay?  Hope you enjoy your wander around Kaz's cafe.  Its nice isnt it?

Hey everyone, good to see you all again.  I was actually in earlier and posted a message in response to Wayne, but it still hasnt appeared.  I suspect that the moderators have sensored it.  I was answering Shaun The Sheep's question as to whether any of our dogs had been up to any mischief.  Well Holly has been, and managed to chase down a rabbit this morning.  I wont say any more than that, in case thats the reason the moderators havent allowed my last post through.  So enough said on that subject.  But I responded to a number of other peoples posts here in the same message, and I've now forgotten.  Oh well, maybe the post will eventually come through anyway, with some modifications no doubt.

I've been watching a pair of beautiful parrots coming around our deck the past 2 days.  Beautiful birds they are. They have noticed that our grapes are just about ripe, so are coming in for their pick.  I am quite happy to let them have some bunches that I have left uncovered for them.  But I suspect they dont understand the rules I have set.  That is, that they can have the uncovered ones, but the bunches I have bagged, ARE FOR ME.....

I really love the funny little chirpy gurgly noises that parrots make when they are sitting there eating my grapes. I awoke from my afternoon nap after lunch and heard them chattering away contentedly.  I have trained Holly not to scare them.  But she will chase the Minor birds away, and thats good, as  I dont like Indian Minors.  They are pests.

Alrighty, I must go and prepare something for dinner.  Unless ..........  Kaz, do you do takeaway meals??

Sherie xoxoxox

In my imagination..... I walk with a very light step, in hope no one will hear my footsteps. The hall is pleasantly breezy and scents of flowers, freshly brewed coffee and that newness smell that new places have sort of moves along with the breeze in the hall. Delightful...

I open a soft blue painted door, in which my eyes see a large room. Music is playing, it gives me a sense of peace, and I recognise the instrumental voilin melody, from the movie," Ladies in Lavender".

As I stand to listen, my arms move and a sense of freedom fills me. My very soul is awakened somehow, and my body drinks in the very sound I hear. No awkwardness lives in me now. Fear has vanished and sadness flows from my eyes freely, as I dance around the room. No audience here in my imagination, only a sanctuary. The soothing sounds of the beautiful tune, ends. But the wetness on my cheeks remain.

I walk back over to the blue painted door in my imagination. Turn the knob, and as the door opens just a little, I squeeze through the gap out into the delightful scents in the hall.

Back to the real world now, and I need to go to the real kitchen in my own home and prepare some dinner.

OK bye now

Shelley xx... my mind now says to me you only write this so you will be accepted and liked by other people. You fear what they think of you..

Hey folks, my lost post from 2pm has just come in.  You will find it about 5 messages up.  I dont think they have changed anything, so I guess it was just temporarily lost in the system, as opposed to being on the chopping board for modification.  I hope you read back up the line to read my earlier post as there is a message for most of you regulars there.

Shelley - I just read a post at the end here, and then it simply vanished!  It was beautiful.  What happened to it? Was it something to do with the last line there about acceptance?  Dont underrate yourself sweet Shelley.  I hope you start to feel better soon.

I am back to my new job (well day 2 anyway, after a start last Tuesday) tomorrow.  Hope I get some sleep 2nite.

Sherie xx

Hello!

Can I please have a large mango smoothie?? yum

i really like this cafe. Great idea to spruce things up a bit. I've also noticed that I don't put on any weight eating here regardless of what I order. It's fantastic.

good luck with the new job Sherie! Hope it works out well for you. I'm currently on holidays and loving it. I do tend to get bored towards the end though. I need to keep my brain busy. I'm thinking about doing another course....still thinking at the moment. Always seems like a good idea until I get back to work and then get snowed under. Maybe I need a hobby ..hmmmm.

I love parrots too. I have an avairy, chooks and a dog. Animals are great therapy.

Evening all

Mango smoothie coming up KT, and how about takeaway pizzas Sherie? That's on my menu tonight.

Hiya Wayne - glad your lambs are doing well. Hi yggy and Shell too, great to see you.

Now, at the risk of sounding a bit 'hippy comune like', this isn't my cafe. It's everyone's cafe. (brings out ukulele and bursts into song) This cafe's your cafe, this cafe's my cafe, from Badiwallop to the Landsborough Highway, from Wangarratta, to Bing and Hump-ty Doooo, this cafe was made for you and me ... do do (plink).
