Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

Kazzl, I'm planning on a few drinks with friends on New Year's Eve on the back deck. I can be a bit of a social butterfly when I'm comfortable. I'm one of those people where I'm quiet at first but once I get comfortable I emerge from my shell.

the emoticons (smiley faces) are found on your iPad keyboard. There should be a button with a smiley face on it next to the numbers button. Generally lots of other pics there too. I'll leave u with some cute ones below.

😃 Oh my giddy aunt! I did it! 😃

Had to change settings on the keyboard and it worked! I'm old-ish y'see, and an absolute technical numpty, so this brings me Great Joy.

My daughter had to explain instagram to me the other day, and then join me up, so I can see her photos. (Haven't tried yet) Then, on Christmas Day, with my daughter and another young rellie, I learned of Spotify. How wonderous. The things you can do these days. Haven't worked out how to do Spotify yet but I will.

The Pom and I bought ourselves a new DVD player for Christmas which is wifi enabled, so we can get Netflix. We're both technology shy so we haven't broached setting it up yet. Might need a young person to help haha.

Evening all. 

I'm leaving the cafe in everyone's capable hands tonight while I avoid the computer for a bit. Spent a good part of today reading stuff online and my eyes feel like they're falling out.

I read around the BB forums and website resources, amongst other things, and I'm truly humbled and a bit emotional after learning of so many people's experiences and the love and support they are still able to give. 

We are all stronger than we know.

Shell - I found the chalkboard with the friendly hug you drew there for me.  Thanks so much, it felt good.

KT - I dont have an ipad, only your standard PC computer with your basic keyboard.  And I want those little emoticons too, but cant find them.  Do you know if they would be on the basic keyboard, or only on an ipad? Like Kazzl I've been wordering how you got them to come up. Ever since the first day  you posted something. Because your name has one on it.  An angry looking fellow baring his teeth!   Grrrr.......  But you dont sound angry, so maybe its actually meant to be a smile?

Kazzl - What are all these things you are talking about?  Ie Instagram, Spotify and Netflix???  I am definitely not technically savvy, thats probably quite obvious.  But I see you have your emoticons going well.  Wish I could find them on my PC keyboard.  I like them.  New Years Eve I usually try to stay at home.  Dont really like going out that night, as I feel pretty uncomfortable with some of the over friendly revellers.  But occasionally hubby insists we go out to our local tavern for a drink or two, but we're usually home before midnight, so its not so bad.  No plans for this year as yet, so I really dont know.

Okay everyone, I'm off to bed now after a busy day going out for lunch, watching cricket, walking the dog, etc. Actually I was able to take Holly (my dog, for those who dont know) with us to the BBQ, so I escaped for a while and took her for a walk.  It was good for her and for me.

Anyway the dishwasher is packed, and on ................   Nite all.

Plans for new years... depending on my tolerance for people I will either climb onto the roof where I can be alone with the fireworks, go up the hill at the old Clifton Hill quarry, or if I am really quite brave may go city bound. The roof is looking likely, there is the left field option of heading for the beach and watching the fireworks from the water.

Morning all! Hiya Gruffudd, sounds like you've got some nice options there. I do like fireworks, I just don't like standing in crowds to watch them. 

I see Geoff and Mary are up already - you two are amazing. Coffee on the house for you if you want to drop in.

So, Monday. What to do. The gravel pit of a garden is calling and I think I'd better pay attention to it today. I'd rather play in the cafe's beautiful garden, but that won't get my real life one any closer to done.

But I'll have my coffee first, and maybe some vegemite toast.

yep....it is suppose to be a smiley face! It is on mine but sometimes it shows up different on other devices. Not sure how u get it on pcs. I would try typing in this 🙂 sometimes that will change to a smiley face.

Would you care for one of these fresh juices that I am now juicing?

Hope you do have a good laugh today. It does feel good. I am not sure about you, but I actually find it sometimes embarrassing to verbally laugh, so mostly I laugh on the inside.

Well I will hang out all these imaginary tea towels so they can flap in this breeze on the imaginary clothes line. Which is a long long rope tied from this wobbly post to..... this wobbly post. Love old wooden imaginary pegs. 

Just picked some sweet smelling roses from the imaginary garden and placed them near the entrance. Hope people can smell them....
