Hi there,
I am hoping to compile a bit of a summer reading list. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their favorite books on this thread?
Can be any genre, I am really in the mood for something light, uplifting and easy to read.
I would like to start 2017 off in a positive frame of mind 🙂

Hi Janey and welcome to our caring community;
I usually don't read that often due to time; I'd rather see the movie. ha ha
I delve into Sudoku or word games to keep my mind alert. But my fave book of all time was the De Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It struck a personal cord with me; it may or may not for you.
Happy Reading...Sara xo

Thanks Sara,
The forums are great, glad I've found them.
I read the Da Vinci Code when it first came out ages ago and loved it. I might read it again, or check out one of his others!
J 🙂

I love Sophie Kinsella's books. She is the author of the shopaholic series and she has other books outside that series too. They are comical and very easy to read! The other is Me Before you & the sequel After you. They made the first book into a movie. The ending of the first book is sad but the second one is definitely uplifting.

Hi Janey123,
Hm... light uplifting and easy to read...I love books but this one has definitely made me think.
1) Yes Please by Amy Poehler. Because Amy Poehler and she's hilarious.
2) Zen Pencils by Gavin Than. This is not an ordinary book. Gavin takes inspirational quotes and turns them into cartoons to interpret them. They always inspire me. I have his Brene Brown one up on my wall.
3) Hyperbole and a half by Allie Brosh. Again, a cartoony one. But Allie is hilarious.
4) The book of awesome by Neil Pasricha. Full of things in life that are awesome. Like freshly cut grass, or remembering what movie that guy is from or when you turn on the radio and your favourite song is starting. Awesome!
