Hi EM,
I found out that my school counsellor is part of the Wellbeing and Learning Support Team. I could potentially ask her, I think.
Thanks Ecomama
Warm wishes,

HI Neerja YES!
THAT'S AWESOME.
Well done you for finding out lol, maybe you could be a detective? lol.
Great news. I understand you can go talk with them just about any time. My kids all had / have "Time Out" cards they can show the teacher and leave the room to go to Student Service ie the welfare team.
Some teachers yell. Yelling triggers my kids. Teacher yells, they leave.
They finish their work in the SS block.
You've got this.

Hi Ecomama,
Haha, a detective! 🙂 All I did was go on my classes Microsoft Teams thing, where it lists all of the teachers and saw this occupation section called Education Support/Wellbeing Team. I didn't know that you could talk to them anytime. My school hardly ever talks about the Wellbeing Team or shares much information about it. I got 'encouraged' to see the school counsellor as I cried in the Reach Foundation Seminar, which was extremely embarrassing. I was trying to stay hidden but one of the teachers found me.
My school has something similar, but you have to ask a teacher to go to the 'hub', where one of the school counsellors stays and students can talk to them. I really like "Time Out" cards, as you don't have to ask or tell the teachers anything, and you just have to show it to them.
You are right about how teachers yell. In my school its mostly the substitute teachers, lol.
I am really glad that your kids leave the classroom when a teacher yells, I think that is a really good thing to do, to feel calm and not be triggered by the teacher's yelling.
Thank you Ecomama
Warmest wishes,
Your friend

Yes Neerja a Detective LIKE I SAID lol!
You are so smart with technology lol. I got my Emoji screen choices back YAY! 🤣😂😅😅😅 phew such a relief.
Yes! Yay for a Student Wellbeing team. If you just said plain and simply "My parents argue ALOT and if a teacher is yelling too, it upsets me alot and reminds me of home. It's not nice hearing yelling at home AND at school. (They should pull their heads in then and act for you at school). May I have a Time Out Card? NSW Schools have them".
No institution likes thinking they're being outdone by others. 😉
You can ask the same for the adjustments for giving speeches too. A reduced audience.
I've heard that Victorian schools were WAY ahead in Wellbeing but..... maybe it's NOT filtering right through to the students (which begs me to wonder why not?).
Anyway if you can get things in place for you at school then it's going to feel better to go there.
Yeah Mark's a CHAMPION in the garden. Well done Mark - I'm eternally envious of your garden lol.
Love EM

Hi Ecomama,
I AM REALLY GLAD THAT YOUR EMOJIS ARE BACK!!!!! I ALWAYS LOVE YOUR EMOJI CHOICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will ask the Student Wellbeing team, thanks Ecomama, it really helped me. 🙂 I think I really need the adjustments for giving speeches, I just can't do it. I think you are right, adjustments would help me feel nervous. I don't think being a teacher will be suitable for me.
That is so true, no institute likes thinking they're being outdone by others. LOL 😂
I didn't know that Victorian schools are ahead in wellbeing. In my old school, it was really bad. But in the school I am in now, they do things like brain breaks and sometimes near the end of the term and the start of the term, they ask students questions about their wellbeing and have wellbeing seminars. But with the wellbeing teams, I feel like they expect students to tell them everything personal and they don't give enough time to say things.
I bet both Mark's and EM's garden are AMAZING!!!!!!!! Not many people care about the environment and biodiversity, I think it is so wonderful that you and Mark are so passionate about gardening!!!!!! You both are awesome!!!!!!!
Warmest wishes,
Your friend,
Neerja

Hi Mark,
It sounds really hard, I could never shift a tree. You know a lot about gardening, I think that is amazing!!!!!!!
Oral assignments are extremely difficult, everyone is just staring and waiting for the person to speak. And when the person doesn't speak or doesn't speak loud enough, other students start forming their judgements. Teachers get annoyed and don't understand. I don't think I will ever be able to do them, nor become a teacher in future.
I am really sorry you have been feeling flat. I deeply hope you feel better. Are there any good movies that you want to watch? Or comedy shows? Or anything that will help make you feel better? Gardening?
How has today been for you?
I hope you and your family are doing well.
Warmest wishes,
Your friend
