Sometimes I change the course of a conversation or hijack it by picking up on a minor detail and going off in a whole new direction. I might need an outlet for my habit. So the rules are, you can join in the conversation by taking it in a whole new direction or saying something that just doesn't follow on. Remember that we are not being serious...

When I grew up I was going to be a ballerina, like Rudolf Nureyev who I associate with Pavlova for no explainable reason. I never managed to achieve that childhood fantasy.

Sometimes when no one is around, I pretend I am a ballerina. I just flow around the room.

sometimes when no one is around I draw and paint.

How dare you trigger those guilt feelings & reminders of all the painting I should be doing. I need to help finish painting my parents in laws house as well as my own house. The kitchen is overdue for a paint and my daughter keeps complaining about the colour of the beams.

What?! Daughters that complain?!!! Never!!!!

(I have 3 of the species along with 4 granddaughters).

If there's one thing daughters do well it's complain & whinge & whine & moan & groan.

But then when they give me a cuddle with an "I love you mum" the complaints all fade into the background.

Speaking of fading ............. thats me! Off to bed. Night all .

Soon I will need to do something constructive like shop & prepare tea for my daughter & family before they go out for the evening leaving us with the 3 grandkids.

The corner shop down the road from us, is run by some friendly people from India. The shop often has delicious smells from the spices that they are using when they are cooking. I am guessing there is a small kitchen out the back. One day, whilst getting served, a little Indian baby was sitting safely up on the counter. He was so...............cute. He just kept staring and staring at me

I remember the corner shop near us. We used to buy broken biscuits from a tin. Much cheaper than whole ones.
