I must say I wonder when I see measurement in metres and kilometres if others realise that they are a consequence of the French revolution.

This is a great and very original thread..Love It!

Oh dear, that is prodding my one great prejudice. Words emaciated by the lacking of the u and s being transubstantiated into a z... Americans...

Hi Rob

I have transubstantiated a couple of Aussie words that have been derived from the French (with all respect to the Renault's of course)

* Centre.....the spelling is right...as in Aussie...but it still should be Center...

* Flavour is also correctly spelled except for the 'U'...It came from the French...

I Love playing ping pong with you.....(I just spent too long in Canada when I was younger so my spelling is all screwed up lol)...Australians...

Australia is not right. It should be Awstralia. My spelling is multilingual. Dwi wedi blino - I'm tired. Perhaps before 2 am I will be sleeping.

You are a legend Rob....I totally concur ....it is Awstralia..Nice1

Nice..um is there an Arnotts biscuit that is called "nice". Does it have sugar on top of it?

Yes there is. You'll have to feed it to your nieces & nephews.

I am in the process of feeding myself dinner. There goes the oven timer just like the bell and the dog of Pavlov.
