Hijacker

Sometimes I change the course of a conversation or hijack it by picking up on a minor detail and going off in a whole new direction. I might need an outlet for my habit. So the rules are, you can join in the conversation by taking it in a whole new direction or saying something that just doesn't follow on. Remember that we are not being serious...

Sometimes I don't even get jokes. It is embarrassing at times. Often someone quietly explains it to me. However I get this one.

A toothless termite walks into a bar, and asks is the bar tender here.

Only ever had termite problems at Tallangatta. I felt a little mean that year when they were all murdered in their floorboards. I was wanting a floor that functioned as such, but at what cost? all those little lives.

I was at a BBQ this afternoon. A group of 13 people. As usual I found myself gravitate to the group of men, rather than the women. They talk sport, which I can relate to. And its a nice safe discussion topic which I feel comfortable and knowledgable taking part in. I find I dont relate to the women much at all.

I rather like putting vegetables on the bbq. My favourite is a mixture of brussels sprouts, potatoes, sweet potato, pumpkin, asparagus, onion and ginger.

Oh yummmm .... I love all those vegetables. But only being a female, I'm not allowed anywhere near the BBQ.

No, that doesn't make sense. If I can cook inside surely you can cook outside. Mind you, I use men's sense of entitlement over outside electric frying-pans to put them to work.

Nothing makes sense in life Rob. I thought you, of all people, would know that. (-:

Absolutely Sherie, my grandmother taught me that the collective term for Welsh men - You have a paradox of Welsh men. We live in our own universe.

Have I told you before Rob that my real name is of Welsh ancestry? I have some Welsh blood on my Dad's side of the family.

No, it only makes me think more of you. My real name is Rhobart 🙂 Australians like the anglicised spelling better.

Rob.
