Hi Guys,
Recently watched a movie called '5 Flights Up'. So good, no heavy content, was almost like listening to pleasant jazz music. Decided I need to do this more often.
Any ideas for more movies that don't require my brain power would be appreciated .
Think I might go watch ' You've Got Mail' tonight, hoping its mellow.

Hi calmseeker,
Thanks so much for your post. Sorry you haven't had a reply yet!
I was having a think about this for a while, and while I can't come up with any movies specifically, I'd probably say any sorts of comedies are generally easy to watch.
Hopefully this post will at least bump up and you'll get some more specific suggestions! I hope that you enjoyed You've Got Mail - can't go wrong with a good romcom.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys.
This type of viewing is completely different from my normal choices. I am usually very much into psychological thrillers and have been keen on seeing the recent 'Joker' film but I am totally staying away from this type of content in my present state of mind.
rt - I did watch 'you've got mail' and thought it was pretty chill. I loved the relaxed New York vibe about the movie and it didn't use much of my brain power so thumbs up for that one!
Quirky - I haven't seen any of the films you listed and googled them all and I think I will start at the top of your list and work down. Thank you kindly for the suggestions, grateful.
Calm, peaceful, happy viewing to you all!

Hello,
I've thought a lot about this over the last few days. Any movie (or most movies) would be involving Robin Williams, he was a good actor/comedian.

Hi calmseeker,
Gosh the contrast between the Joker and You've Got Mail is huge! I'm so glad you enjoyed the movie even though it makes me even more confused about your movie tastes!
I did think of one other thing and it's called tastedive. It's a website and the idea of the site is that it recommends movies based on what you've seen. For example, the ones recommended from You've Got Mail include Sleepless in Seattle, Must Love Dogs, Serendipity, Kate and Leopold and Somethings' gotta give. I've seen all of these ones and they're all easy viewing. I loved Kate and Leopold too.
Hope you enjoy all of the movies. Sounds like such a great way to relax and get in some self care time.

Hi rt,
I had a giggle at your response to the huge difference between joker and You've Got Mail ! Thanks for making me smile rt, hahaha. The best way I can explain that is that when I am well, my taste in movies are more like 'Joker' and 'Silence of the Lambs" and 'Orphan' just to name a few out of many favourites. But when I am not well, I cannot handle the heavy content and I must watch lighter, calmer things, that's what I am trying to do at the moment, stay right away from those dark concepts.
Tastedive is an awesome suggestion and I will have a peek tonight. That's exactly what I was looking for rt.
Funny you mention it, I watched 'Somethings Gotta Give' just last night and I loved it. I even felt semi relaxed which is a new thing for me lately. I went to bed trying to picture myself walking along that beach in front of Diane Keaton's characters beach house. The other thing I loved about that movie, being into décor and interiors, was the stunning Hamptons style beach house where she lives, gorgeous and relaxing!

Hi SilvaLady,
Agreed! Robin Williams was awesome, bless his cotton socks. I think he has quite a few movies which will fill my need for calm and pleasant viewing.

For a very sweet, funny mivie with no thinking, you can't go past "What We Did On Our Holiday".
Also love Robin Willians. Miss him.

Thank you birdy, 'What We Did On Our Holiday' has been added to my calm me down movie list.
Watched 'Hampstead' a few night ago, it was nice and slow with lovely scenery.
